Saturday, Saturday..Morning to All ! This is officially the last weekend of Summer...and then Fall begins...aaaah the cool brisk mornings and the cool evenings...that's what I like and no skeeters..!!! LOL It takes care of those little enimies..them suckers..but aaah October Skies and Harvest Moon...and little kiddies dressed up in their Halloween Costumes...can ya tell I'm ready for it.. I mean this year I'm gonna miss it ! Some how I can't pictures Jack O Lantern riding around on a golf cart..but I'll be checking the area out in my purple plum cart :)..wonder if I could go "Trick or Treat" perhaps I might attempt to see if any one is interested in a Halloween GTG... :) I'll check my neighbors in our Cove...we have just a few..but they are always game for it..Wheels in motion here..:) and how about the wheels in the forum....let me go check it out...

Seeya Gal (Jenny and Dan) Alright now, Jenny tell us all the truth.. did ya buy those Lizards kissing ? LOL I think they are neat looking.. I'd have to snatch them up..and say..Hey it's a stocking stuffer ...works for me... and loved those pictures of Seaside, Oregon...and yep, on that bridge.. you tell Nick, "I'd hate crossing that bridge too.. don't do height well.."
Good to hear that you and Molly's Mom (Trudy) are gonna be able to connect.. I know she'll enjoy the meeting and it will give her a lot more info too.. cause you and Dan sure have plenty to share with everyone..

NakedPupsAndMe (Micki) I hear ya on loving every minute of being in that rig..that was always how I felt...I had the best of both worlds.. Dog Shows..then venture off for a few days before I would head home.. cause I just loved being in the rig and going places.. When ever I would have to travel distance on Shows.. I'd check the area and see what I could hook up with...and even if it was just one extra day.. I'd make it.. It's are really wonderful world out there, leaving all the drama behind you !! Enjoy it..
Oh and on what type of rig.. I'm sure all the sista's are gonna tell ya.. it is what works for you ! I've had Class A's for over 30 years and mine was because of the dog shows..as I had so many on board and needed lots of room.. but one thing no matter what size you do get.. get a slide out or two.. cause that does make the difference.. Now for me....I spoke of this before ..but I seriously thought of down sizing..because no longer am I staying in my rig for 6mos of the year..and I'm using it mainly for driving back and forth to Florida and on camping weekends when I can get away..but it's just a thought.. cause I love the comfort that I have and I have them big bears too plus little tots LOL..but look at them all and sit inside them.. make your list of things you need to have and go from there..

RVGranny (Lori and Ernie) Hey woman, it's ok to kick back.. heck we is retired remember.. You two sometimes get them schedules going..and ware yourselves out..goodness all that walking and exploring and then all the cleaning you done did.. No wonder you're a little down and out... take a breather sista..You have lots of time on your hands ...and enjoy it.. Do the do nothing and suck up the enjoyment..Ya hear.. Dr's orders...Maybe sit more by the campfire cause we sure do miss ya when your not with us.. Love doing them baby afghans..they always look so pretty and soft... Goodness I have my share to do..

Echo, I sure hope you got some rest and enjoyment out of your day off...cause that job of yours..I don't know ...lots of stress is more exhaustion for the body than physical labor.. so keep checking them papers...Gots to be somethin better

RetiredHappy (Karen) is retired happy.. she's back at her home base and lovin it.. and I can't blame ya ...sounds wonderful too me...and Yep Karen you is right.. Work when ya need it .. and take time to enjoy the rest ....

Carold (Carol) good to hear from ya and wow you certainly have been on the go.. and hoping I'll get to meet you at our Florida GTG cause you are not going to be that far away from most of us... in another few months we'll start working on that and hopefully we'll get a few that lurk to come as well... be nice...

Molly's Mom.. (Trudy) I know you have to be enjoying that ocean.. gosh smell that air too.. it sure is neat to watch and listen to the waves ...puts ya to sleep at night...

Sunseeker (Jill and Tommy)..Hey .. I could definitely do that trip.. I use to take the bus once every few months with a group of friends and we'd go for the day.. got comp for lunch and show and play a little slots and then no driving either way... was pretty darn good..

Bethers.. are you going to the same Dentist and Seeya Gal did ? I know I have friends that went and had lots of work done.. in fact they even had their glasses done there as well.. Great prices and most of what I heard those Dentist were schooled in the USA..

Oregontocal...(Chris).. You know that's a great idea.. instead of towing your truck..cause the price of gas is a choker..and if you have a vehicle available to you to use there in Kansas..heck I'd do that.. but tell me how did ya get the job in Amazon.com.. one of my favorite sites to shop..:) Are they in various places too.. maybe we can get Echo and Kelly another job ... huh ?

Dpf (Pat).. Hey sista.. I sure hope you are enjoying that camper..and we is all eyes and ears to hear how all went.. ..cause nothing can pass us..you should know that by now...We await your home coming...post gal !!

Cedar so ya thought you'd pull a switch on me .. mmmm ..:)

Paulette, hope you have a good weekend planned to just enjoy and did ya ever get those missing parts that were taken..? OH, and did you get that connection installed on your jeep, just curious..not sure if you mentioned you were gonna tow your jeep with you to Pa campground..

Ok, sista's looks like a lot of you are in between or over yonder...and when ya get the time stop in and post and let us all know how you are doing...

Coffee is ready and so am I ... Echo, Cedar, Ava..you sista's ready.. and for all that would love to join in.. and maybe haven't made up your mind.. it's not too difficult to test the waters here.. we certainly don't bite...well not painfully anyway.. we do post how we feel but that's normal for us .. I mean we wouldn't be Women if we didn't... but one thing we sure are.. Supportive.. in no matter what you do.. well with a few exceptions.. LOL

May your Adventures be Great Ones and your Journey be Safe too !

PS... ShirlV... I hope all went well for your daughter.. she and you are in my prayers..

God Bless

Goooooood Morning everybody! LOL

Dang it's Saturday morning and I'm sitting here ready for work! Blech Kelly is out of the shower, wrapped up in her beach towel and standing out on the back porch. Dummy kid. It's cool enough out there I wouldn't be going out there fresh out of the shower. ?

Well I'm calling Monday morning to see if I can get in to see the Doc for my BP. Called yesterday but they couldn't wiggle me in. Get that checked, on meds to get it down and I will be putting in my app to the railroad. Tooot Toot! Good money and benefits there. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and say little prayers every day. Cause I sure know my nerves are shot working in the sweat shop.

I so enjoyed the day off yesterday! The only dang thing I did here in the house is the dishes and there weren't many of them to do cause Kelly did a batch up the other night. But yesterday really did seem like a honest to goodness day off. Did a tiny bit of shopping. Bought one of those air pumps that ya plug into the cigarette lighter, now I can fill my own bike tire with out worrying. And I bought a new cooler. One of the 'extreme' coolers. I got it for $32 and I also bought a small shoulder carry cooler that says it keeps ice for 48hrs. Then during the afternoon we paid a couple of bills then ate Chinese, yum. We quick ran home grabbed Shade then off to do a little more shopping. LOL Kelly went to the Natural Foods store, Shade and I went to PetsMart. Oh Shade was so excited. Got puppy treats and a couple more toys. Like she really, really needed them! HA! It was a good lazy.

Ok Kelly just asked me if I was ready to go. Dang!!!

Hope everyone has a great day and stays safe.

Love to all

The Amazon job, well, 1000 of them or so, was advertised in workamper.com for several months, large advertisements. The temporary help agency placed the ads and has a great website with video and everything. For three months of working at least a 40/hr/week shift, standing on your feet on a concrete floor, helping to fill orders in their huge, automated warehouse, they provide site, hookups, shuttle to and from work, get-togethers, the possibility of some overtime, direct deposit, and an excellent salary, paid weekly. Many people who worked there last year have written about their experiences in workamper forums so that others of us know exactly what to expect. It will be hard work, but worth it. The difficult part will be spending not only Halloween, but Thanksgiving as well as my birthday and Christmas there. Oh well, I'm a big kid. :)

Here's the website if anyone is interested. Last I heard, they still need people for their holiday season.http://www.sekjobs.com

Yeehaw,...it's Saturday morning1 I'd be in a cafeteria full of yakking kids by now if it were a weekday. At our school all kids get off bus and go right to cafeteria for optional b'fast, then the bell rings at 8 a.m. and they go to their classrooms or homerooms if they are 7-12. I'm one of the early a.m. monitors,.... ech! but it does give me a chance to visit informally with the kids with less structure. No matter what, i still prefer the high school age kids.

so today,.... leisurly b'fast, bacon eggs, and yeppers,... coffee! That's done so now i got to get busy and clean the washer's intake screen and then do laundry. Will have to make a run to the dump with garbage today too. I no longer pay to have it picked up,... i can get away with one bag a week, so a trip to the dump once a month works. Of course that's more often in the dead heat of summer, but 10 months of the year once a month is fine. We don't get much really hot weather up here.

Then later this afternoon I am going to hit the recliner and watch a movie. My netflix has been getting dusty,.... gotta get these turned around and back in.

Have a great weekend gals!

Good morning everyone. Barb, sounds like you are looking forward and making plans already and you are still in PA! You go girl! As to me and my jeep...nope, I still haven't gotten the new tabs in order to be able to tow it. I have the part number from Blue Ox, but haven't contacted the dealer that put the baseplate on to get the tabs and new wires and cables. (Do I know how to procrastinate or what?????) I did take the MH in yesterday for an oil change and "minor" repairs...like reattaching the rear camera monitor and fix the dash AC that quit working just south of home and a few other little odds and ends. I do love driving this MH. It is just a lot of fun being way up high and having a commanding view of the road and it does handle nicely. However, to answer your question Barb, no I probably won't be towing the jeep up to PA. If I'm lucky, I"ll have a new front tire for my bicycle by then and will take it along instead.

Echo, sounds like you have picked up some camping gear? Do ya'll have a weekend planned sometime soon here? I sure hope you are able to get in to see the doc and get that bp under control...that is important. Good luck on the train job...that sounds like it would be fun!

Chris, get some gel inserts for your shoes! Will they let ya bring in a special mat to stand on while ya work? I know they make some that are supposed to help.

Hope everyone has a great day. I've got the weekend "stuff" to do...you know, all the stuff that ya don't get done all week cause you are busy working your fulltime job!!!!

good morning to everyone
so glad its saturday, just need to relax and do a few extra things leisurely, by that I
mean do it but not bust my butt trying to get it done quickly. I'm planning on cleaning
out the car and putting the panel back on my door, fixing the window is going to have
to wait so I will at least be able to open and close the other windows but my drivers
window will just have to stay shut until I get the new piece. Grocery store today and
of course pay my bills as it was payday.
Have a good day in whatever you do and be safe

Good Morning,
Have my coffee and catching up with everyone. Barb, thanks for the good wishes for Cindy, her surgery is the 25th. Wish I could do it for her. I have been busy with yard work since the weather has cooled, but still need Cutters. It feels like a soup in the crockpot day, crusty bread and homemade applebutter. I made myself hungry. lol Everyone have a great day.

Good morning all. Slept in a little this morning. Am having to get used to all my time being my own again. Am starting to work on our Texas GTG. Lining up a van for us all to go sightseeing, get some little for little prizes for something to be decided yet, etc. Gonna make a new cover for my sofa. I made one in black thinking it wouldn't show dog hair. Well, it doesn't BUT it shows EVERYTHING else. Gonna make one that matches my dinette cover. Took the dogs for a long, leisurely walk down by the river this morning.

Echo, sure hope you get your railroad job. I really understand working at something or for someone you don't like. Not good for the blood pressure.

The nights and mornings have cooled off and I'm lovin' it.

All of you have a wonderful weekend.

Good Morning All!! Just finished late breakfast (for me) and shower, and now I'm just catching up on the news. Thought I'd grab a cuppa coffee with ya'll! It's cooler here this a.m.....72 degrees. Carolyn (Sunshinecruiser) has been on the road traveling and training for about a month. She has a half-day class this morning to teach. If all goes well she'll be coming to the house this afternoon for what may be our last swim of the season. Yesterday the pool was 76 degrees.....yet it didn't stop me from enjoying it for awhile! Who knows what we might find to celebrate while in the pool and sun! I hope she can make it. If not, don't what the afternoon may bring for me. Still seems strange to not have to cram all into the weekend since I can spread it throughout the week. My mind hasn't yet totally accepted that because I sat this morning thinking about what all needed to be done today! I do need to get busy and get some bills paid. Happy weekend to all of you! Enjoyed the coffee.........

My vacation is over, but not forgotten! Thanks for all you input on which rigs you like. I am seriously researching them, & see my own rig in my future!
