I need to pass this info on to my friend, Kathy, from CA who will be beginning her battle with lung cancer this coming Wednesday. Any info you can share with us, that I can forward to her, Sparkle, will be very much appreciated. She is terrified, of course, at this point.

Congrats on your regained ability to eat, and may you stuff your body with much-needed nourishment! How I wish I could have that order----although, NOT as a result of what you've been through! A medical order to eat sounds like a dream to me!

I will warn Kathy about the possibility of losing her sense of taste, and of the necessity of force feedings/eatings.

Jean, I wish we lived closer. I like to try new recipes and I could experiment on you. The radiation will be easier than chemo. I found this in a magazine and hung it on the fridge.

If I have to pull up my Big Girl Panties and deal with one more
thing the elastic will break and I will really show my as#.

Sparkle Plenty... It's good to read that you are starting to eat again ... I know chemo is hard and lots of friends have had difficulty in eating..especially some have said, "everything tasted like metal".. So keep on keeping on as you know we're all anxious for you to come to those GTGs... by the way.. I only use ground turkey in a lot of my cookin' LOL.. so you can't say.." I don't eat red meat too me"... Ya gots it ?
