Ha Ha Ha an interesting read well said Bella DePaulo, Ph.D.... would like to take it point by point from where I am but my general opinion is that it is within you not who you are with or if you are married or not... I have been alone for more than 19 years... have had several chances to be married again but in the long look at what was offered it was a short deal... being married to the wrong person can be a death sentence in itself... being happy where ever you are and being able to chose who you want to be with is my freedom...

My favorite Aunt's husband died when I was 7 and she never remarried so was single for 37 years. I started to say she was alone but she was never alone. She was everyone's favorite Aunt and doted on me and my cousins and our children. One of her favorite sayings was "There are worse things than not being married."
