FALL THURSDAY 2010

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FALL THURSDAY 2010

Postby Nasoosie » Thu Sep 23, 2010 7:50 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

With fall now officially here, and the days as long/short as the nights, I am getting up later and later and going to bed earlier and earlier! I love being able to go by the sunshine schedule. Night sleeps up here in the north country are very long, very cold, and sort of like hibernating! I am hoping to avoid this type of nights this year, if I get out of here and head to FL!

I am very glad that a storm went south of us last night, and we were able to see that wonderful, full harvest moon! Molly and I stayed outside for quite a while before we entered the trailer for the night. We didn't need any heat last night, either.

Today will be the day I tackle the cellar with the shop vac, as I was able to get a new bag/filter for it yesterday. I would like to have that chore done for when the alarm system guy comes tomorrow morning. I will also organize as I vacuum today. ACK!

I also found a good buy on a large cyclonic ceramic electric heater for the cellar to keep pipes from freezing this winter. WOW----what a lot of hot air that puts out with its fan! It is thermostatically controlled, has a remote (which, of course, won't be needed for this use) but which would be fantastic for my trailer! When it gets really cold again out there, I intend to give it a tryout! It's very quiet on the low fan setting, too, unlike my trailer furnace which is like sleeping under a jet runway when it is operating! It's a Lasko brand, for anyone interested in looking at it.

If it warms up later, and it should as the sun is out and bright today, I'll finish emptying the leanto and readying it for the winter. In between and all around I carry stuff from the shelter to the barn, and firewood from the pile into my log rack in here.

No more lollygagging around this coffee-----time to get moving! Oh yes, I also have a mouse to release that my trailer live trap caught last night. No mice in traps in the house today.

Hope you all have a wonderful first day of fall! The colors are getting photographicable now, and I will take some today to post tomorrow.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Soos, you said " I am hoping to avoid this type of nights this year, if I get out of here and head to FL!" I noted the IF in there...are you having second thoughts?
It hasn't felt much like fall this week and unfortunately the rain missed us as most rain this summer has. But at least it is supposed to cool off a lot for the weekend which would be wonderful.
I've decided to sell this disaster of a computer, my MacBook and buy a new Macbook Pro. I need to sell this before I just fling it out the door in a hissy fit! It's latest trick is suddenly I can't type on it until I shut it down and start up again. I must have bought at a bad time as so many people love their Macs. I seem to do more on more on my iPhone especially since 3G finally arrived in this area. It is fast!!

Yucky rainy cold morning here! Has been raining a lot the past couple days. Some flash floods south of here. Very fall-like weather. The trees are turning quickly now, already! Makes me more anxious to get out of here!

Lots of little things to go thru yet and sort, give away, throw away, etc. Did my bathroom yesterday and got rid of tons of products, etc I had been saving for years that I never use (forgot I even had them!).

The girls at work are really sad to see me go. That's nice to know they like me that much! Only two days left there. Then on the road in one week!

Found out last night that my nephew's cancer is back. It is in the same spot on his lower back, so it hasn't spread to other areas, which is very good. He will go back in for surgery to remove what they found and probably back on radiation again. I will have to keep close tabs on him after I leave here.

Gotta make some phone calls this morning and go to the bank before heading off to work.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning everyone... yes fall is here and summer heat is back will be in the 90s again today... will bottle it up and send it back when the cold wind blows and the snow is falling to the ground... nice thought...
Yesterday I had a mild reaction to the flu shot but it is all over today... with a compromised immune system things act strange on me...
Barbie you would be welcome to stop by Normal and see me on your way to Ca... I would love to meet you... just let me know...
I have an iMac and mine is great it is not the laptop but the keyboard is small and I use it like a laptop my monitor/computer is 21 in and I have it on a folding table by my chair... nice set up if I could stop putting things on the tray!
not much going on today... hope everyone is having a good day...

Kathleen, where is Normal? Not even sure what state that is in?? Will have to check with the leader (Linda) to see what route we are taking out there, but would love to meet you too! Looks like we will be meeting up with Janice and Sheila along the way as well.
