Yep, the fun just continues :)

OO and her hubby Gary came by this afternoon with bags for each of us, including treats for the dogs. We've been going through and making decisions on what to see - a couple reservations are already made - and most of us headed over to the Mexican restaurant next door for dinner. Oops - I don't think anyone has taken a picture yet. We'll make up for it, hopefully.

We're all pretty pooped tonight - and some already have shows tomorrow, while some of the rest of us will rest or just go into Branson and sightsee and book other shows. There are so many I'd like to see, but limiting myself to my top choices. As it is some of us are extending another day!

What Beth says...we are tired. Met Pete and Bob and Glenna and her sister. And Gary pointed out that there is an RV repair service right next do to the park here. Karen drove me over and the Short Bus has an appointment to get looked at on Monday afternoon. :) Off to read a bit more and then on to bed......I think a couple of us have exciting plans tomorrow including laundry......

It is an awesome night in the Ozarks!!!
We had to run to the store this evening-- & the 76 strip was bumper to bumper-- & we didn't see that our Branson PD had any of the group --so they must be having a good time---I know Beth & a few others went to Autumn Daze Festival in historic downtown Branson today--
I know swveral are planning on going on the Branson Belle Showboat tomorrow--out on Table rock Lake!!
I told them what friends bands were playing in what clubs all over town--if they should decide to go party tonight!!
It is a beautiful cool evening--I hope they are all out enjoying!!!
We went down on our marina tonight on lake Taneycomo-- & it was really cool!!!
I'll be glad to hear what all everyone has enjoyed also--
Gary & I will be meeting up with Beth & several others on Monday evening--for our dear friend Keith Allynn's show a tribute to Neal Diamond-- so that will be fun!!!

Carol, Pete, Bob and I went to the Hank Williams tribute today and it was awesome! Tim Hadler looks and sounds just like him, it was a little spooky! Just after intermission he and a couple of other folks (including Miss Minnie Pearl) passed out cupcakes and then gave us a cup of really good apple cider on our way out after the show. He was such a sweetheart. If all of the shows are as good as this one it's gonna be worth the trip. Schedule is as follows (for me, we all have different schedules):

Sun...Paddlewheeler boat cruise, lunch and show at noon and then the Legends show at 8pm. ( A must, the Blues Brothers!)
Mon...Paul Revere at 3pm
Tues..no show, but the largest Walmart in the US is here, must go take a picture for my Sister the Walmart Queen
Wed...Ziplining
Thurs...leave for Fayetteville

Haven't taken one picture
, but Tina got a couple at dinner tonite. We had coupons for a steak dinner 2 for the price of one.

Just having a great time!!

Today was dedicated to walking around Branson in the heat to find the craft show that really wasn't and stopping in to purchase the tickets to the shows that we picked to attend later in the week. While purchasing the tickets for the Twelve Tenors....they are standing out in the crowd from the morning show and break into "Happy Birthday" to someone. Right nice rendition.....definitely looking forward to hearing more. We did walk down around the "Landing" and all the glitsy shops. I think Beth got some pictures of the dancing water.

While walking back to the car and waiting for Karen to come out of the Pawn Shop :o Beth and I saw the buggy passing.

Image

After the walking around in the heat, the AC felt pretty good in the late afternoon. But we recoup quickly. By 6 we were ready to head out for a steak dinner. We passed some of our Flamingo friends on the way and what a "Butt" shot.

Image

Later heading into the Plantation Restaurant other butt shots were available. Carol was trying to warn her!

Image

Yes, Sharon, I was trying to get a nice group shot....but if not available....butt shots will always do.

Image

Karen, Carol and Sharon all went for a salad with their dinners. They also ended up with left over boxes to carry home. I didn't have anything left on my plate to take home. Well maybe some meat scraps but don't tell Herschel.

Image

I won't bore you will the trials and tribulations of trying to get meat with the right amount of "pink" inside. Apparently the definition of "rare" and "medium rare" are changeable depending upon the cook. But we did enjoy our waitress. She was very nice and certainly knew how to warm up her customers. Wait until you hear what she called us. We knew you wouldn't believe it unless we got proof..... Click on this one....

Tim will be 39 years old on Sunday!!! And I really mean 39!!! :D
Sorry about the craft show-- as last year they had over 500 craft booths!!! Did they not have many this year or what-- as we didn't make it down town---
How was the food at the Plantation-- as it is a resturant we "locals" all avoid!!!
Well have fun-----

In case you can't hear Tina's video very well, I want to make it perfectly clear that she called us Sweet! Imagine that! We've been called a lot of things, but I don't think sweet was ever one of them!

And OO, avoid the Plantation like the plague! The buffet looked ok, but if you have one of those coupons for a 2 for 1 steak dinner, burn it!  But we had a great time and the trip was worth it listening to Karen call her Garmin names. I was cracking up!

Sharon-- I'm sorry--- next time I need to add to your list of info the places the "locals " avoid & the Plantation is one of them!!!
There are 5 resturants all owned by the same people--- & we avoid them all--- poor tour busses eat there!!!! :o
They own Plantation-- Whippersnappers--Baldknobbers cafe--brain fart--- can't think of the other two this minute--but it will come to me soon---
on our way out the door to church---have a great day--- may want to take a snack on the show boat--- never heard the food was very good on it either!!!
later----
