SEMI-SUNNY SUNDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SEMI-SUNNY SUNDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Sun Sep 12, 2010 7:08 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Molly and I watched 5 deer around the apple tree this morning, which was a lot of fun. After they had their fill of apples and left, we came inside for coffee and found that Kathy was already up and had the coffee all made! How nice!

So far, Lily and Hope and many of the brightly-feathered radio-collared study bears in Ely have survived the hunters, but one, sweet Sarah Bear, was shot even with her brightly-feathered collar on. Very sad, and devastating to the researchers.

Today won't be as sunny and pretty as was yesterday, but we will find stuff to do, I am sure. We had a wonderful day yesterday, walking at the pond, visiting the log cabin and the leanto, sitting in the sun for a bit, sitting on the covered porch, and laughing, laughing, laughing a lot!

I hope all are having a fun time at that Arkansas GTG, and that those who are not yet there are being careful on the roads.

This will be short today so I don't take time from my guest----it's so nice to have company once again, which I haven't had since the Ruckus! It's also a perfect excuse for me to ignore all my chores for several days! C'mon in and share our coffee and let us know about your day!

Happy Sunday!

Morning everyone! It's 50 and sunny here and the prospect for a gorgeous day is in the works. I had planned to do some things around the house this afternoon but that Black Cloud must have headed this way. Just before we left for our Labor Day camping trip my microwave in the house (less than 3 years old) up and died on me. The microwave that we received 27 years ago for a wedding present is still working...but boys have it at the farm. I never realized how much I actually use it! So after struggling through a week without it....running out to the rig to defrost meat or reheat left overs for supper I went shopping yesterday and bought a new one. DH carried it into the house last night and when I started unpacking it there was a big dent on the top..never even took it out of the box..just taped it up again...so it's back to Yankton today to exchange it. I'm sure the next thing will be that they will be out of stock on that model. I figure that will be the third thing. Not too pessimistic huh?

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Those of you at the GTG please keep sending pictures...at least the rest of us can look and live vicariously! ;)
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

good morning ladies
just a tad overcast this morning but its going to burn off very soon
off to the store this morning for a few supplies, dog food for one, or
the girls won't have any dinner.
Was out early this morning, took care of a little demoliton on a few
items on my patio that I wanted to throw away, but of course it needed
to fit into the dumpster. That chore is done and the patio is looking
better and better. Thinking of getting a little bit of spinach planted
in one of my planters, its the season here for the cool weather planting
so I'm looking forward to getting that done. :P
Everybody have a great day, have fun at the gtg and keep the pics coming.
Be safe, and hugs to you all.

Still morning here. Having my coffee and catching up on the forums.
Watched allot of 9 11 documentaries last night. It just got too sad and depressing so I didn't finish the second one, but wanted to honor those who lost lives and/or gave of themselves so selflessly.
dpf (Pat?), I remember getting my new Kitchenaide fridge home and opening the box and finding a dent in the side of it! Very deflating. Hope they have another in stock.
Another beautiful day here. Gonna mow my grass as it's gotten out of hand with a few days of rain. Something about rain water vs city water (lawn sprinkler), that really makes the yard grow. Even my rose bushes are happier.
Yesterday was another gorgeous day and I spent it at a soccer jamboree for my 2 GDs. It got pretty hot for the kids and they played 3-4 games each! I took my cooler and loaded it with lots of cut up fruit that I kept chilled and sandwiches and bottled water. That really hit the spot for us.
Sorry to hear one of the research bears got killed, Soos. Glad you are enjoying your visit with your BFF.
Ok, need to check out the rest of the forum.
Wishing everyone a wonderful, fun filled day!!
