WETTISH WEDNESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WETTISH WEDNESDAY

GOOD MORING TO US ALL!

Molly and I just spent the first hour of the day watching a deer browsing our apple drops on the ground underneath this old apple tree right next to the trailer. She is a huge doe, and has an absolutely sleek, reddish brown, shiny coat. I love watching the wild creatures make their way in the world with no help from us two-footers. Molly quivers the entire time she is watching them, until they make a run for it, and then she loses her cool and goes ballistic! She was inside today, which is a good thing, as I think she would have burst right through her zapper collar zone today when that beutiful doe flashed her white tail and leaped away across the field! There are at least 5 bunnies grazing on the newly-mown grass and clover out there this morning, also. They seem to appreciate the shorter grass. I can't believe I had to mow the entire lawn again yesterday----by September, the grass has usually stopped growing, but this has been an unusually warm summer for us.

I made an appointment to drop off my trailer at the dealers on the 28th, after they look at it and see if they can fix it while I wait there. I have a dentist appointment during the first week in October, too. It's hard trying to get all things covered before I take off someitme after the middle of October. But it's nice to not have a schedule that I MUST stick to!

Today I will work on that upstairs closet and the kitchen cabinets again, as it's supposed to rain on and off. I really wish I could get that trailer of Mema's registered so I could take large loads to the dump. I must call her again and see if she has those papers signed that I need to register it. My SPOT GPS unit has been shipped as of yesterday, so I can't wait to get that and see if it will work on this property. I still haven't decided on the dog bark-off thing yet. Liz, how is that working?

I have the upstairs bedrom all set for my friend from CA to arrive on Saturday. She left a very brief email message yesterday after her lung biopsy, saying she made it through the 'procedure' ok, but with no clue as to what they might have found. So I am still in the dark about that until I call her today. I hope she, too, is NOT in the dark, and they at least told her what they thought. Surely they must have a microscope handy at such a place to give a precursory look at the tissue. I hate it when they force us to wait forever to hear any results-----it's downright torture and very inhumane.

So off I will go after reading my email and the forums and Facebook, to toil and sob my way through old 'stuff' that I find I still love. No wonder I still have it all-----it is a part of my life, and I really do not want to part with it. I have just about decided to get plastic tub containers for most of it, label it all, save it for occassional reminiscing, and let my kids toss it when I am dead. What I don't know won't bother me! I did go through all my old manuals and waranties again yesterday, and eliminate yet more of those defunct pieces of paper. I am down to just one small tub of those now!

Coffee is hot, so stop in and telL us about your day and your plans.
Have a happy Wednesday!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Have fun today Soos. DId I tell you before what my daughter told me after hearing about the moving and sorting going on regarding her Grandmother. She told me that I needed to get busy because she really didn't want to go through my "sh#*t" after I died. :o  She did say it with a smile on her face. So I figured that the next vehicle heading to NC is going to contain the three or four large rubber made tubs that hold her "stuff" that was cleared out of the upstairs bedroom after she graduated and moved. She does know that the tubs are up there and has said that she didn't "need" them..... But then I don't either. They are full of momentos of her youth :) Now we also have an oversized large wooded "tack box" (her father built her) still full of musty horse grooming equipment, saddle pad, halter, etc. It will be on the same truck load.

Today is my load up the Short Bus day, figure what comes with what stays behind and go to the store for supplies. Also finish the catching up the last load of laundry. I need to take Ellen in to a doc visit tomorrow afternoon. so I will either drive off tomorrow evening and make a run at least as far as Louisville, KY or head out early Fri. am...... :D Almost ready, ARK here we come!

It's cool here this morning but the sun is out now:( I like cloudy days better. Still no significant rain. My brother went with me to St Louis yesterday and it was 63 up there when we left and by the time we got home it was 90 on the car thermometer! We stopped half way home for a break and my van wouldn't start. My brother looked at me since it was my vehicle I guess, and so I popped out my handy iPhone and pressed Around Me which brought up anything of significance nearby like coffee, restaurants and gas stations etc. Within 15 minutes and minus $15. dollars we were on the road. A young man had been sent by a place called Gary's and brought a jump thingie. Glad it didn't happen in STL it would have taken a lot longer and a lot more expensive. When I got home I dropped my DB off and went on out to leave it at the repair shop and DH picked me up. It was a full day as we went to my Doctor's appointment, stopped at Whole Foods and picked up a bottle of wine and lots of good eats then took it to my nieces house for an impromptitu GTG. Amazingly I was 1/2 hour early for the dr appointment and got in as soon as I arrived so we were leaving the office at about the time the appt was scheduled.

Tina I would love to see you DD face when you arrive with her stuff   I love your way of thinking. Hope you get on the road early as planned!

Good Morning
My niece decided she was doing well enough to make it on her own and went home Monday evening. Lizzie's human returned Monday night so she has also gone home. Nicky and I have the house to ourselves again.
When I got home yesterday afternoon, there was no power. Don't know how long it had been out but the house was beginning to warm and humidity rise. Power company had it working again shortly before dark. Makes one appreciate it more as we take such things for granted these days.
A few chores to tackle here today plus figure out what goes with me to ARK. Getting excited about that trip.
Have a safe day.

Not much of Wednesday left here in the PNW, but just now getting on the forum for any length of time.
I didn't make bible study today. Still not feeling up to par. So tired and having chills. If it's a cold I wish it would just do it's thing and get on with it!

The gal in my sub'd. that invited me to the study stopped by to see how I was doing. She brought over her new dog to visit with mine. I kinda wished she'd have waited until I was feeling better but it was nice of her to stop by. Her dog is a 5 mon old female, German sheppard/golden/?? mix named, what else? Molly. She is georgous looking but so hyper! I was happy I could supply a big backyard for her and my dog to play...and play they did!!

Just a bit ago I got word that my pastor, who was in Cabo, MX with his son helping to build an orphanage/school, started having heart problems. They life flighted him to San Diego and we are awaiting word. He is in his mid 40s. I know he needs to slow down, but he's so on fire about everything he does. He's a hands on pastor and has been right there when we started our new mission churches in Hawaii, New Zealand and India. Please keep him an his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Cloudy day here, in the 60s. Suppose to get in the 70s by the weekend, but stay cloudy so I figure our Fall weather is here to stay. Thinking that, I put away my patio furniture for the season. My patio looks so forlorn.

Everyone, travel safe! hear?
