Sunny cool Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny cool Saturday

Postby BarbaraRose » Sat Sep 04, 2010 7:25 am

Looks like I am the first one up this morning (yawwwnn!) Beautiful, cool, and sunny this morning! First time I have worn a sweatshirt in months!

Getting ready for my sale. My dad is on his way over to help me out for awhile. Still have a lot to do yet before the sale starts. Haven't even priced anything yet! Getting everything out of the closets and cupboards, I didn't realize I had so much stuff!! Hopefully, a lot of it will go this weekend.

Hope you all have a great day today whatever you are doing/where ever you are!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good-morning Everyone, Rise and Shine !!!! Good luck on your sale Barbie, hope you do sell just everything.

My day will be finding out whether I will go to Ark. GTG with or without AC. Motor for fan is lost !! Somewhere between here and Atlanta, Ga. Liz, said we could have driven down and got it :) Needless to say, I was a droopy , unhappy person yesterday. :( Today, will find out if it might get here Tuesday or not, which will make it later leaving, then I wanted. If tracking has not found it, will just pick RV up from shop this morning and pack it to leave here Tuesday morn and pray for some cool days. No cool days at GTG, Maggie and I, will be knocking on doors with AC in middle of day for a visit with you and your AC   Setting out by the lake shouldn't be bad though, I hope. My plans for return trip will have to be changed though, as they included having the AC working. Oh well, always a reason, I guess?

Hope everyone else has a Great Holiday week-end. Not sure what we will do here, but something, after the RV situation is cleared up ( it stays there to be fixed or setting here in yard, getting packed) Now, I better get moving so I'm ready to leave when I can call and find out, which way the day is going.

Its going to be a Great day, Enjoy !!!

GOOD MORNING BARBIE, CAROL, AND ALL!!

Hope sure has come a long way since her birth on January 22, 2010, eh? Amazing how fast these tiny bundles of fur grow!

Good luck with your sale today, Barbie! And what a shame about your AC fan, Carol-----it's always something, eh??

Sorry I'm late this morning, but it was too nice at the pond to come up here any earlier. The rain in the night sure sounded great on the leanto roof, and it cooled things way off. Now the clouds are arriving, and the breeze is picking up, but it's beautiful out there. I guess today will be a dump day, and I'll get rid of some of my 'stuff' that I have managed to sort through. I got carried away and very teary-eyed yesterday while going through bunches of old photos and a lot of my writings through the years. When I came downstairs, I couldn't believe it was so late! I also missed the chatroom last night, as we were at the leanto early. Soon it will be too cold to stay down there overnight.

I will need to call the RV dealer today and make an appointment to get this danged refrigerator fixed.

I am thinking of getting one of those bark-discouragers for Molly if I have to leave her alone in here...not a shocker collar, but one that makes a noise that shuts dogs up. I know she barks continually when I leave her in my truck, and I afraid she will do the same if I leave her in here for any time. Has anyone ever used such a device?

Time to get moving here, so stop in for some coffee and let us know how you all made out with the passing Earl storm. More and more clouds are showing up, and I am afraid my sunny morning is fast turning into a chilly day. I already emptied out my refrigerator, so now it's off to the dump.

Happy Saturday!

Happy travels!

Good morning all , it was 54 degrees here this morning and it felt soooo good. I went to the Farmers Market and everyone was in such a good mood. I was there for almost an hour. It was quite the parade of dogs. Saw a Wheaton Terrier, a Great Dane, two Papillons, and a PBGB. I had never seen a PBGB and he was totally adorable. PBGB is the nickname for the breed the full name is Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen ! Here is a link about them http://www.pbgv.org/Gallery/PhotoContestWinners.shtml

Carol the cabin I have rented has A/C, if it is hot I will be inside and you're welcome anytime, that goes for anyone else. We can play games or rest up after the evenings escapades.

Time to get ready for my yoga class. Hope everyone is having cooler weather.

Morning!
Carol, I'm sorry about the missing fan. Hope it turns up.
That dog on the link is sure a mixture! Lots of hair to keep groomed, too.
Morning, Ava!
Barbie, hope lots of your "stuff" gets sold. Fingers crossed.
Got my eyes tested yesterday. I tend to have somewhat cloudy vision and I knew I had the beginnings of cataracts but didn't know there were 3 kinds. I have the one where the lens (?) starts to turn yellow, like when hard plastic sits in the sun too long. It is caused by the sun, too. Not much can be done at this point, so just upped my perscription for now.
Yesterday my neighbor, (David with the stage IV colon cancer), went in for his radiation and has been having abdominal pains. They did an emergency CAT scan and determined that the cancer is back but if they do surgery it will set back his radiation treatments, so for now will continue and see what happens. Put him on pain pills. He will go back on chemo after a brief pause in his radiation and/or surgery. Keep that family in your prayers and thoughts. THanks.
The weather here still strange. It's been so humid as of late. I am seeing some leaves turning color. I love Fall!
Wishing everyone a safe holiday weekend!

Good Morning Ladies... it is a cool 57 here will be 70 later... this is perfect weather after the hot summer...

I got such a boost from my daughter Margie yesterday... she came and ran the vacuum all through the Mobile Home... then we made order of the newly freed up front bedroom... it's all ready for guests if anyone wants a get away...then she confiscated my scrabble game that she gave me 35 years ago and went home... her son Tim and his girl friend wanted to play with it...

I have to fold the last load of clothes then take care of the basket full... I will go outside today it has been so long since it was pleasant to do that... (I often wonder if you teacher ladies cringe when I make such odd sentences ) :D

Will get another cup of coffee and begin my day... hope all of you that are traveling are safe and those of you that are home enjoy...

Morning All

We are having our first teasing taste of fall this weekend. Feels so good outside today. The nineties will return next week but without the miserable humidity even that won't be too bad.

Dogs have been out several times already (Lizzie is visiting for the long weekend) and I finished off a pot of coffee on the back porch. Lizzie's human will be getting married next month. She will still keep Nicky for me while I go to ARK. Am hoping he won't be too much in her way as she will be preparing her house to share with someone else again and it is to be the site of the reception following the wedding. So far she says her only regret is having to give up closet space. Fortunately he likes dogs.

I went by AAA yesterday and picked up some maps for ARK trip. I'm still hoping for a cancellation such that I can arrive a day earlier (without having to relocate once at the park) but as of this AM, nothing but the honeymoon cabin available at a much higher price. Between me and BJ, our cabins can be an alternate location for all in case needed due to weather or lack of A/C, Carol.

Niece is still staying with me. A bit of a set back past couple of days with nasty muscle spasms but otherwise doing very well.

Soos, thanks for the bear photos.
Barbie, hope all your stuff is selling quickly this morning.

Have a great day!
