Think we should all send Gwen some depends, traveling with Sparkle she is sure going to need them. We have all read about Sparkle's adventures. You never know what she will do next.

Sparkles
In "Q" there is a business that has used solar panels golly can't think of the name of the business but west of the QUI building. Nothing will be wrong with them usually an upgrade to a larger one. We got one from him last year and found if you fix them so they mount at angle instead of flat that they charged better. Just something that worked for us
Hopefully you will still be there when we get there early Dec.

Sheila, it was probably Discount Solar. I saw a camper who had just one panel that he could plug into his Marine Battery, and unplug it when he was traveling. He could reposition it like a satelite dish. He had done it himself. I wish I had taken a picture. I'm going to see if they will do that for me.

There is also Solar Bills to get solar panels in Q, heck we'll be in Yuma 80 miles away. Gill ( Aussiegirl) & hubby Bob are suppose to be coming in to visit us around Halloween. Gotta make the casita look scary!!

Good to know I've got options on the Solar. Things are going well here. We have actually got some of the staff on track for being more profesional with the customers. I also went online and printed out 10 pages of the most awful reviews of the Lodge which I'm going to give to the owners tomorrow. I may be looking for another job! I open 2 mornings a week which means I start at 5.15am. All I can say is getting up in the dark is unnatural. Then I close 2 nights, so I finish about 10.30pm. All I can say is its unnatural to have to go home in the dark. Then on my other day I have a split shift, 7.00am to 11.00am, then 5.00pm to 9.00pm. That's hostessing. I just show the dinner customers to their tables and schmoozh a little. The waitstaff gives up a percentage of their tips, its amazing how it mounts up.

Sparkle
think that it is jumping from the pan into the fire... that sounds like grueling days. Aren't you glad it is only for a short while as to the reviews they should have found them theirselves. Hopefully they will realize that something needs to be done
Take care see you sometime

It sounds like the lodge employees are a little more well behaved than last year. Do you have to be in that tiny little closet anymore? Did you make it to Kanab? Can't wait to hear how management responds to the reviews. I enjoyed my visits to the lodge and the meal, but then again, I was only there for short times to visit you last year. Good luck with the split shifts.

Yes Chris, been to Kanab, shopped at Honey's. Not much has changed. The Hiichin' Post is almost empty. After all her complaining of Workampers taking up space I bet she misses the money. I'm not doing reservations so I don't have to sit in the airless windowless cubby anymore. I'm really enjoying it, Gwen is more upset by what she sees, I keep telling her, remember, WE DON'T CARE! I'm thinking of visiting Best Friends, the famous animal shelter. Although they normaly won't take Pitbulls, they took 22 of the footballer Vick's fighting dogs and are trying to rehabiltate them. I can't adopt another one, but thought maybe I could help socialise one. I'm getting my missing filling done today. I turned into one of those old ladies who suck on their teeth all the time. It drove Gwen nuts when we were traveling. Then tomorrow a trip to Page (Walmarts!) It's a 200 mile round trip.

It sounds like things are going well for you Sparkle. I like the "we don't care" thought,..... hang in there and have fun.

The filling turned out to be a ROOT CANAL! and no, I haven't had it done yet, they gave me some time to look forward to it. I couldn't help but think of Barbzee when she was having all her tooth problems. That's what I get for laughing at her when we visited. sorry Barb, please take the curse off me now. They want to do a root canal and then put a crown on top of that at a cost of 1350.00. I opted for the root canal alone. I'll need more funds before I can get the crown.

Oh, no.....another sista' with a tooth problem.... :o ......Hate root canals!! :? I most always opt for just pulling the tooth in question....then go from there.....root canals tend to blow up on me and I end up having them pulled anyways.....but to each their own..... ;)

Sparkle....we'll be in the Corpus Christi area this winter, too......just down the road from Beth....so maybe we can all visit your beach.... :)

Not having done it myself but have read of others that go to Mexico for a fraction of the cost here in the states. Something to ponder anyway. Think Jenny is one of those that go might ask her
