I have a game I'm bringing also - that I think we could all play at once - and it's fun and will have us in stitches sometimes, and thought-provoking others. Jean and I discovered it from 2 lady travelers we met at the north rim. I just found it in a store recently and it's begging to be played.

Carol, the first "rally/seminar" gtg I ever went to was a Life on Wheels......I was so freeing after looking inside shiny expensive rigs on lots and in shows and in brochures...to see that people actually live inside their vehicles and travel real miles in them.....and if I was so lucky to travel enough miles in mine it would look well loved too....in the velvetine rabbit sort of way...... :) It's just gonna get dirty again :=) not like its salt water in those smoky mountains.......

Hello Ladies,

I just received some bad news a few moments ago, that will prevent me from attending the AR GTG.

My sister, Kay, is going to have neck surgery on the 14th. She was involved in a hit and run accident 4 weeks ago. She had back surgery about two or so years ago. While fighting back pain for the last 6 months or so, now this. She has not been able to return to work, since the accident. She is very depressed.

My sister, Tammy, who has had back surgery and neck surgery a couple of years ago, will be having surgery on the 16th. She has been suffering with back pain and numbness, even after the surgery. They will be implanting some type of device that stimulates the nerve endings. Needless to say, she has been depressed as well. She also takes a lot of medicine, so we are praying that this device will help elimanate a lot of pain and suffering. She is not able to work.

Kay and Tammy help me with the caring of my dad, as well as a day sitter. Tammy had been taking Kay's place when it was her turn to help out, as well as my other sister, Renee. Tammy and Kay were going to take my place as the night sitter, while I was going to be at the AR GTG. Since, I had hired night sitters for me while in Mexico, there isn't enough funds to pay for all those nights for me to attend the AR GTG. I will also need to help take care of both of them, if needed. Kay is not married and her boyfriend works in England and comes home for 2 weeks. He will only be in for a few days. Tammy's husband is a truck driver, so he gone alot during the week.

Just way too much stuff going on for me to go to AR GTG. I would not enjoy myself, knowing all what is going on at home. I am so sorry I won't be able to meet all of you. I am very disappointed, but will have to get over it. Stuff happens! I will enjoy the AR GTG through all of your pictures. :)

We'll miss you too, and I don't think I could enjoy myself either under the circumstances. Hopefully all the surgeries will go well and your sisters find some relief. Sending good thoughts and hugs your way. You have a lot on your plate, so take care of yourself. carold

Oh, Carolyn, I'm so sorry you won't be able to join us, but I totally understand. That is a heck of a lot of surgeries going on for one family, I hope you have someone else to help you out, too. Take care of you and those around you.

So sorry I won't get to meet you but totally understand. Take care of yourself during all - sure don't want you to get sick too. Think about Port Lavaca the first week (?) of April. We boondock on the beach for a week.

Carolyn, I am so sorry to read about the problems with your family. I was so looking forward to meeting you, but understand, family comes first. Hope they will both have great surgeries, and fast recoveries.
Maybe we can meet sometime when things slow down for you.

I'm coming too! Got my RV back today...drive back from Asheville went smoothly. I'll be in site # 27, reserved from Sept. 13-17th. I'll bring fresh veggies and fruit. And a game called Farkle.

Sorry I won't get to meet you, Carolyn. Hope things go well with the upcoming surgeries. There will be another time.

Carolyn, so sorry to hear you aren't coming. My goodness two sisters having surgery two days apart. You will have your hands full with your Dad and care for them. We'll all be thinking of you, HOping the surgeries go well and they both recover and without the pain they have been having. I'm disappointed big time, as you are one of the ladies I have not met yet. Maybe we can meet up in our travels somehow before long. Until then Take care and I hope all goes well for your family.

Awwww, so sorry Carolyn, I was really looking forward to meeting you! I totally understand, tho, and family comes first. I'm sure we'll meet up down the road somewhere. Take care of yourself and best of luck for your sisters surgery.
