Ft. Worth Tx

All tucked in here a little north of Ft. Worth. Windy again on the trip here and was planning on leaving today, but didn't get a chance to visit with Katie much, so I'm staying another day. Got hugs from everyone for that decision, so it was worth it! Mike was my supervisor at the hospital I worked at. We worked together when I was an apprentice and I learned so much from him. I actually got him the job there, met him at the union hall when he was taking the same steam class that I was. He didn't have any boilers where he worked and he needed some practice in water treatment before he took his LA steam test so I got permission to bring him in and show him how to do the tests, then recommended him for the job when we were hiring a new engineer. Best move I ever made there! Anyway, he promoted to Chief I, then when he promoted to Chief II, I got the job for Chief I. I love his kids (not kids anymore, lovely young ladies now) and they all make me feel like a member of the family.

So, finally, some pictures, not much, but I'll try and do better....I've been to this area quite a few times, so didn't do any sightseeing here other than to realize that the Harley Dealer was only 9 miles away, so while Mike slept yesterday (he works graveyard) I ran over there and got a couple of shirts.

My spot here, complete with 30A power! The beauty of having an engineer for a friend!

And of course, Texas BBQ!!

Having fun, but it's hot and muggy here. I imagine it will get worse as I move east, tho.

Love that motorcycle combo and, oh yeah, that bbq looks yummy. Yep, hot and muggy. Doesn't seem like a lot of wind, though, as long as you don't count the doofuses  carold

Wow! That is some trike! Never seen anything like it before. And that BBQ sure looks good! Glad you are enjoying your visit :) Stay safe out there. You should be thru the worst of the west TX winds.

Love,
Sharon

LOVED the trike. Yep, you in Texax, hot and humid is the norm. You should be pretty much thru with the winds tho.

That is a neat trike. Glad you're able to enjoy your visit a bit longer.

Carold, do you think if we try and poke Mitch with some pins we can let out some of her hot air? I'd be willing to try.... real hard!

Does Ft Worth ever cross your mind? (sorry,, just HAD to get that in! ) yeay George!

About the heat and humidity,,, it is winding down, thank the Lord! September, tho,, it will STILL be around! I don't get to be comfy outside til at LEAST late Oct... but that is just me! Oh to be in Colorado about now! ;) (or points north!) The pleasure of being in Tx doesn't actually come til Nov... and I've seen Christmases when I wore shorts! Oh well,,

sorry about you gals in the northeast!

At least we are on the DOWNSTROKE of summer! Happy Fall to you all and have pity on us who have to endure the gunshots for the next few weekends of dove season! I'm sure glad I'm not out at my farm trying to sleep late!

Ya'll keep posting. I will be intermittently doing so myself

hugs to all!
