USofA here I come

Come on in and say hello.

USofA here I come

Postby Travelinana » Sun Aug 29, 2010 7:58 pm

I'm not a chatter and I'm not sure how to do this but after I have introduced myself I will just push the button and hope I did it right. I am 66 and ready to spend half my time seeing what I have spent my entire life looking forward to. I had hoped to be on the road by 58 and with my husband but as we all know life hands us other more important matters and solo it will be. I don't mind this, but I do want to connect with others doing the same thing, in fact meeting other women, making friends of many of you, and enjoying sights and events with some of you is essential to this late life excursion. This is probably enough so get ready to answer lots of questions.

With great anticipation,
Travelinana

Welcome to the forum, Travelinana! I'll take a guess and say your name is Ana. Just let me say that you have landed flat dab in the middle of a great bunch of women. We are from all walks of life, in all different stages of our lives and looking forward to all our adventures bring us. Why don't you give us a little information about where you are in your world, do you have a rig yet or are you looking for one. What area of the country are you in and where do your dreams take you, part time or full time? You're gonna love it here, IF you participate you get more out of it, in my opinion anyway.

Welcome and we're happy to have you join us. We like questions - and there are no dumb questions - although sometimes we give dumb or silly answers.

We will be happy to meet you here and in person. If you're ready soon - we have a big gtg (get-together) about to happen in Arkansas. We'd love to have you join those of us that will be there. We have gtg's often - but usually just a couple meeting, as we try to meet with each other when we pass. Then there are the planned ones like this one coming up. Oh, immediately after AR is another one in Branson. So check out our get together room.

Wander around - read a lot - and jump in when ever and where ever you want.

A big, ol' Forum Welcome, Travelinana!! We're glad you joined us, and we hope you'll be glad, too!
Sounds like your traveling adventures are just beginning! Woo-Hoo.

Tell us a little more about yourself - do you have a rig, 4-legged children, kids.
And we'd be very pleased with pictures! And more pictures.
If you have trouble posting them, there are any number of patient and knowledgeable helpers here.

I look forward to getting to know you better. So, jump right in - ask away and share your life's journey.

Just ignore Vickie - she's such a Doofus! (but, oh, I just love that girl...)

I'll guess your moniker is for Travelin' Grandma...(not Ana...Vickie's cute - just not too bright.)

(and just so you don't get the wrong idea here right off the bat, Vickie (the pest) and I are co-hosting this Arkansas GTG, so I think we really do like each other). Or at least we've fooled many others into thinking so.

Hey there's nothing wrong with my guess! One of my previous employers had a daughter named Ana. (Mitch thinks she's smarter than me) (okay, she is)

Welcome also. This is a great bunch of women and trust me, no question is too dumb to post here. We have all been where you are now and there may even be other "lurkers" out there who are wondering the same thing you are. If you can, try to meet up with some of us. Just post your planned trip or route and someone will probably be near.

Let me add my welcome. We're such a diverse group of women that you're bound to find someone you have something in common with. I'll join the other's in inviting you to the Arkansas GTG or Branson. Check out the GTG site on here for all the details. Please let us know a little more about you and where you're located. When any of us travel we always try to meet up for at least one day with anyone who will be nearby.

Welcome aboard. Come sit by our "campfire".....come share your stories or just the thoughts of your day.......There are always imaginary refreshments waiting for you at the campfire and usually cookies and other good things.... Glad you took the jump to speak up....now the fun begins! :)

Travelinana, welcome to the forum. Yes, we are all in varying stages of travel, planning for travel or recovering from travel. We have those who live full-time in their rigs, those of us (me) who travel for extended periods and occasional travelers who wish they could do it more.

What kind of RVing do you do? Can't wait to hear more from you about you and your travel plans.

And we like PICTURES PICTURES PICTURES.
