Babies getting bigger

Postby asirimarco » Fri Aug 27, 2010 10:55 am

Just a quick stop in to catch up with our latest misadventures. First off the fawns were out back yesterday and they are getting bigger
ImageWe finally got the Alfa back from RV doc. Needed a new slide motor - the biggest one of course and a new step - don't ask!
We ordered the parts ourselves - would have been double if the RV place ordered them. Then had them installed. All works fine now - still have to get satellite fixed so need to take a little trip to northern Indiana soon.
I've been quilting on my quilt and only have a little more to finish - BUT put a little too much of myself in it the other day when I sewed my finger to it. Having to type really slow as bandage catches lots of extra keys.
The Driver gave us both a scare last week. Been sick for a couple of weeks with cold - went to doc got shots and pills then took a turn for the worse. Couldn't get his breath - called ambulance and into hospital. ER doc (about 12 years old) was very concerned about heart. But after overnightring and many, many tests - his heart, blood pressure and arteries/veins are all in excellent shape - like a young man. Their best guess a virus - any way finally he is back to normal and busy as a bee in Alfa. Don't know what he is doing out there and not going to go look.
Weather is finally nice - for a few days any way - Humidity low and temps in low 80s until Sunday when it all goes up again. Been a miserable summer.
We have decided to go to Mexico again for the winter - Haven't decided to take Jennie or Alfie - probably Alfie -
So that's about it for us for now.

Thanks for the update. How nice to be able to watch the fawns grow right from your deck. Glad the driver is better. Hope your finger heals quickly.

Wow Carol, do you ever do anything half way??? LOL! Glad it was nothing more serious than a virus for The Driver, altho sounds like you got a pretty good scare. Hope things settle down for you and all goes as planned for your trip to Mexico.

I'm glad you're both ok. And watch your fingers with those needles :) I'm smiling, but know it's got to be painful.

Good to hear from you.

Sorry about your finger and the Driver's virus scare! The little fawn pictures are neat!

I will be interested to see which vehicle you will drive to Mexico this year! I know that either one will be just right for you two! Also can't wait to see more of your wonderful pictures like the ones you took last year!

Hope your finger feels better soon!

Gosh, Carol, I've had my share of problems lately, BUT seems you all have had yours and several other peoples these past months. Sure hope things start going better soon up there, share those troubles, spread them around   :) So glad the Driver is ok and nothing really serious there. Our health is the most precious thing we all own.

What a pleasure though to be so close to look down on those two little deer growing, right under your nose, literally :) There is always a ray of sunshine somewhere and when we are up to our neck in problems to solve and decisions to make, its best to look for that Ray.

Hope better days are coming (and soon)

I'm really glad The Driver is good. Very scary stuff.

Sew (So...get it???), are you having to walk around with a quilt stuck to your finger all the time?
Won't that make it hard to make the bed?

Can't wait to see more pics of Mexico (and all that wonderful food).

Carol, with all the troubles in Mexico, aren't you a little afraid to go there? I do love following your travels in Mexico; you always find the most interesting little towns.

That's neat to watch the little babies grow. Glad the Driver is doing better and hope you didn't get any blood stains on your new quilt!

Carol, Glad to hear that the Driver is OK after the scare. Sewing oneself to a project is what I did in home ec in high school. Haven't been near a sewing machine since. (much better for my health :D ) Had my sister finish the project for me, as she always got A's in sewing. Now if it can't be glued, it doesn't get fixed. Glad you both are on the mend. Linda
