Emergency Assistance

I know a number of us out there belong to Good Sam and a few of us have the ERS. But I was wondering if any of you have the Emergency Assistance Plan? I've been reading about it and was wondering if it would be a good thing for a person like myself who travels alone with two dogs and really nobody I can call to "come get me" or somethng if I need help away from home. I do have a friend who has Power of Attorney for Health Care for me, but is in his 70's, so I am not about to ask them to drive to wherever I am. I could be out of state for all I know. Any suggestions, feedback etc., from thos of you who are out there traveling alone would be helpful.

I have it but thank the Great Spirit have never had to use it. It's like any other kind of insurance, peace of mind.

Opposite of Sharon here - I don't take any insurances I don't feel I need - and that's one I put in a category of extended warranties. I never had anything like it in all the years I was traveling on vacations, or for work, etc - and don't feel this is any different. But, if it would give you peace of mind, you should get it. We're all different.

I have carried it for several yrs, gives me little more security, on the road by myself, especially at my age, anything can happen. It will fly one of my children to me, if I am in a hospital somewhere, seriously ill. Finds out info about Drs, so I have good care etc. Provide a driver to get my r.v. and belongings home. Just makes me feel better and my children too, with me going everywhere that I do. Its not that expensive and well worth the peace of mind it gives me. For what it cost most people flitter it away and have nothing to show for it. But this is a personal decision each of us have to make. If you are only going to be traveling around your state, and have friends or family all over, you might not need it. I will continue carrying it as long as I can travel in my r.v. Majority of my travels, I do alone, so its very important. But last yr., when Liz and I, were in Alaska, if I had had health issues, with that insurance I would not have messed up her trip too, so as I said peace of mind.

Its with Good Sam, MItch. EA+Program, its called. Provides medical help, makes sure you have proper dr. for your situation, will shlp you home to your drs. Returns your r.v. to your home, takes care of children and pets and will see they are sent home too. Gives you all sorts of help, a long list of them. When you are alone, and along ways from home, this help was important to me to know I had it. And if you are traveling with someone else, and become ill, you certainly don't want to mess up someone elses trip too.

I have never had to use it, but its sure a great deal of PEACE OF MIND, when I pull out of this driveway,headed goodness knows where,by myself.
