Forum/Login Question

Okay, I don't get it. I don't shut my laptop down every time I'm done with it. I just close the lid and let it sleep. But I do sign out of AOL and any other programs before shutting the lid.

When I'm done reading this forum I just close the window -- I NEVER logout. And yet when I click on it in my favorites list to visit again it asks me to log in -- even though I tell the forum to automatically log me in when I visit. It doesn't happen every time, but in the last 2 days I've had to log in 3 times when I never logged out in the first place. Humpf!

What's up with this?

It's something within your computer. Possibly you have something set to delete cookies - etc - lots of reasons - or you do a clean up - or run a virus scan that will sometimes do it. It's not the forum if you have it set to keep you logged in.

Thanks, Beth. I have AVG running. Maybe that's what's doing it. Who knows. But at least I know that it's not an arbitrary thing.

I had loaded CCleaner to my computer which is a program that get rids of cookies and such. It was set to run everyday and it would wipe out all my passwords and I had to log in to all my sites. I changed it to only run when I choose because I got tired of logging in everyday.
