That's neat, I'm glad the three of you were able to go with friends to see the bats.

Great adventure. Wonderful that Jean could get out on the water with you two water babes!

Something I've always wanted to see. Happy to see Jean went along, too. Why is Liz the only one with a lifejacket? Kayaking sounds like fun too but I am NOT a good swimmer so am afraid about what if I turn it over.

Most people on boats have life jackets with them - like on cruise lines, etc. Liz is the good one - she wears hers all the time. She wears hers in her kayak, also. I have mine with - unless the water is choppy - then I wear it. So far here, I've always felt close enough to swim to shore, and the water temp is warm enough. Would be different on another body of water.

Was a great adventure. I'm glad Liz thought to try the video portion - as pics just wouldn't turn out. I gave up quickly and just watched.

That said - I'm 2-3 posts behind on my blog - so will be a few coming later today or tomorrow - by which time I'll be further behind! Lots happening.

Love the horizontal hair comment. Looks like a great evening. It's nice meeting new friends who have a pontoon boat.

I explained Liz's policy to Herschel just yesterday as he was trying on a life jacket in Petsmart......he was not happy and kept saying...but I am a good swimmer :) If he does choose to go kayking with me, especially on the river...he needs a life jacket....how else does he expect to drag my limp body out of the water.

I need to get one for Roe too....haven't done that yet. He wasn't with me when I looked at them and I needed to know his girth measurement. Good idea to try them on, Herschel. Hope you got to pick out a new water toy while you were at Petsmart.

I may not wear mine - but Peaches has never been out without hers. She took to it just fine - which surprised me. You can see where my priorities lie :)
