They need rain to take off the burn ban - so if anyone is hoping for rain - hope for them to get it now - not after we're all there!

That said, as much as I love a bonfire, I can't sit at them long anymore- makes it hard for me to breath. So those propane ones might be better for me.

Yes, the Official Banner did arrive here, has been signed, photo taken, and now the mailing tube is being prepared for mailing onto Vickie to take to the Arkansas GTG.....The Sultan & I would love to personally deliver it, ;) ;) but commitments here in PA have us all tied up and of course, we're set to be in Georgia on Oct. 1st....so maybe next time... :)

Looks like a big crew meeting there....you all have fun and will be with you via here.....

Oh Boy, I can't wait to get the "official" gtg banner and see everybody's signatures! It won't be long till there'll be a lot more on there.

The banner signing is wonderful. Really helps to make us feel connected.
My signature isn't pretty as I have horrible handwriting. Some of the gals have beautiful script.

I don't know how it's set up...is it where each gtg signs in one area or does everybody sign all over the banner? Do you put the date under your signature? I've never seen it, somebody who has done this can let us know.

We'll have to see how it's been done. I've been to many gtg's, but before the banner. With my singles group - we have a banner for many years now - and each gtg takes a section - and we all sign - so that's neat too, as then we know who was at what gtg. But however it's being done - we'll all get on there who aren't - will be neat to see it.

We pick one particular area for our "GRG". We can all thank Liz for this banner.

Yep, officially excited around here, too. I got back from the STate Fair dog show work last night. Need to run around and get errands under way. Need to clean out the Short Bus from the kayaking weekend and the whole time I am doing it I will be thinking...is this something the dogs and I will be needing in Sept? :) :) :) :) Have started actually using the rake on the back hitch. It will definitely give us a few more options regarding storage and what can come along. After riding the "duckie" down the white water and figuring out hoe stable it is....need to make some phone calls and talk "turkey" with at least two of the companies regarding their products. Beth reminded me regarding Airkayak and I have reports regarding the other vendor...they know their equipment best and can help me sort out the best match for my hoped for activities ...figuring cost in the picture, etc...... AR ......here we be coming SOON!

Hoping there's a " try me out" time to fit into our schedule-that's if it's ok with all the owners. Now I'm talking about the kayaks, y'all, not the furbabies-although that might be fun too  . Not sure I can kayak with my back, so thought this might be a way to check it out before spending $$$. We're back in the USA and have wifi indefinitely. So now ya'll can't slip anything past me. Notice, the "y'all"s, trying to get into the feel of an Arkansas GTG. carold

I think we can do that Carol - weather permitting, of course.

I've discovered it doesn't bother my back at all - in fact my back feels better after kayaking. Now, my arms and shoulders - well, the shoulder muscles seem to have gotten used to it - still working on building up my weakling arms.
