Let's start our day with a good morning here.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

(Please forgive the references to people you might not know, as, to save time, and to try to get morning coffee posts in both forums I belong to, I just copy and paste the info. Sorry about that!)

I drove home from the doctor's visit and grocery shopping trip yesterday in absolutely torrential rains....could just barely see to drive in a couple of instances. When I got back here, I had to sit in the truck for a few minutes while the downpour and lightning abated. Richard was here and all set up, awning out, catching rain for washing in his huge bucket! After that shower passed, however, the rest of the evening was fine weather----warmer than it had been, and no more rain so the standing water has all soaked in. It's a very comfy 72 degrees here now.

I made a supper and arrival food for the campers as Richard and Joe chatted outside Richard's camper while Joe sawed and split some firewood that had been rescued from the road work of last summer. It made a nice pile of fire logs. Then Mandy got back from her house north of here with her two horse-sized dogs, we had supper, and settled down to a nice jam session on guitars and fiddles. Richard's really been working on his shyness about singing and playing, and he's REALLY good now! We were so involved we missed the chat time altogether---by the time I checked in no one was home. Sorry about that...will try to do better tonight!

I had three skin lesions removed yesterday----2 frozen with nitrous oxide, and one scooped out and sent for analysis. A piece of cake for all---I love that skin doc! As I had forgotten to eat the pizza I warmed for breakfast, I also had my blood drawn while I was there. (I didn't mention to them that I did have coffee in the morning.) Shopping was a madhouse, as it was lacrosse tournament days in the local towns----people from all over visiting and shopping. This was hot on the heels of Rugby Weekend of this past one. I came home and made chicken-noodle salad for those who are hungry after traveling. Mandy brought tons of fresh vegies from the St. Lawence Valley area, and Richard brought a bunch of fresh VT corn!

Pete will be on the road today, and I can't wait to see him tomorrow! Connie should arrive tomorrow, too, if I remember correctly. Carol will arrive Thursday afternoon, as will Cedar and Kath. Kevin could show at any time! I never heard back from Jack, so have no idea what's up with him lately. We will miss Carolyn (Sunshine Cruiser) and Billy, too, who were originally scheduled to come, but had to cancel. The weather is for staggered showers, some of which could be not nice, but, by Thursday night, things are predicted to calm down and cool down again for a very nice weekend! YAY! Whatever happens, we will have a good time, you can bet on that!

As for today----I guess I'll get the banner hung up in the shelter, and try to get some help moving a couple of grills into there so we can fire them up for burgers and dogs, or whatever. Maybe one will be enough to move out there from the party barn, as I also have one on my deck and a mini one here on my trailer outside table. Other than that. this job is done! Nothing to do but enjoy from now on!

Happy Tuesday to us all, and I hope those on the road have safe travels.

Good-morning !!!

Overcast here this morning, it was yesterday too, makes it decent to be outside for a while. Yesterday I finally got my decks swept, also trimmed some low hanging branches out back, that flap in your face when you mow. Didn't want my mowing person, to not mow there :) He mowed yesterday evening too, and it looks so nice out there this morning, so I timed my little job, just right.

Spent most of the day, yesterday, sorting my pix as to years, so I can get in albums or throw. What a job. I used to keep them up to date, when taken, right in an album they went. So I have our life in Albums. I DO NOT have my last ten yrs. in an album, I have been living it so much, no time to put pix away right :) I've asked myself this past week, who is going to want all of these albums anyway? (and all my hard work :? )

Hey, Soos, Let the Fun begin !!! Sounds like all is ready and started. I know you all will have a great time, something to talk about for the coming yr. until the next one. We of course, would like some pix here, don't put them all over on the other forum ok? Also, don't apologize for naming names we don't know here and making your post for both forums, you do the "good mornings" for. You've taken the responisbility of starting our mornings seriously, and always something interesting to start our days. Doing that EVERY morning is not a small task!!. I don't even post a morning post every day, think most of us could say that. YOU do it everyday. and I for one, would like to tell you, I REALLY APPRECIATE it and THANK YOU. I do envy your weather THIS time of year ;) :)

Well, on to check the rest of the forum out, see what others have been up too. Have a great day everyone, stay cool, and hydrated.
Safe and Happy travels to All,
CArol

Good Morning...
Well today I will take Zeke to his summer conditioning class at the high school and then go grocery shopping. It is funny what 2 boys will do without, while mom is gone. I did leave them groceries and money to restock..but we are totally out of a few things. I would say they did not restock. We are talking 22 and 19 year old.

Then it will be home and deep clean the house. While the boys did okay at keeping it looking clean, there are a few things they miss..like since we have wood floors..the dog hair piles in the corners and such.

The dryer element should be in today..it went out while we were gone. If I had been home, we would have dug out the paperwork as it is just over a a year old. The issue we believe has to do with the way the house is designed. The dryer and washer are NOT on an outside wall. So we have like 10 feet of dryer hose. That seems to fill up with lint easily..then causes the dryer element to overheat. So it looks like we will put that on the stock up list and change if out when we change out the filter on the AC/furnace unit. I will ask the repairman when he comes back. Some day in the great remodel plan it is going to be moved. But that is not on the top of the list. It is down toward the bottom.

Well I should get off here and get ready to go to town.

About picture sorting...I am also behind. My issue is now...figuring out what to print out...I am so behind on my albums. I still have not completed the one from our trip from last summer and now I have this summers to work on. Plus all the kids books are years behind. I tend to work on them more in the winter months...or at least I try to. I get a lot ton when I do escape for the weekend to a scrapbook weekend with friends. I may have to plan some this winter.

Good Morning Ladies, it will be a warm one here in Normal... was very humid when I let Shadow out... I have to leave him out a while as he wants to do half a job and come in... He will go wild when I am at my girlfriends... I do not put him on a leash unless I go to the pontoon... he always runs to T's house to see if she is home and will give him a treat... ah ah ah she does not get home till after 5... I will cook meals while I am there as they are my captive audience and have no choice but to eat what is in front of them...

Today I will make sure all of my clowning things are together so Mell can look it over and take what ever he can use... I almost felt like chucking it all and giving it to Good Will but my friend Jere said hey go ahead it will be fun... guess that is right... watch everyone paw through all my past... in a way that is scary... but forge ahead I will...

Soos what a great time you all will have... enjoy and please do post pictures...

Carolina you are sure doing great keep it up...

take care all and enjoy this day drive safe...

We are going to have another hot day. It's already 100. The electric companies are asking everyone to conserve electricity so we don't have brown outs. We are probably safe here because we are on the same lines as the local fish plant that is one of the largest electric customers in the parish. Makes it nice if there is a hurricane because we get electricity back before the people in town do.

I see we have another tropical storm but doesn't look like it is getting it's act together yet. So far they are predicting that it will take a turn to the North and miss the US.

My son is retiring from the Air Force later this month and I would like to drive to New Jersey for his retirement ceremony. I hate to fly but it's 1400 miles. I got a dirty look from my DH when I said I wanted to drive. I have never driven to the Northeast. If I could take my time and enjoy the trip it would be nice but I'm sure it would be hurry up and get there and hurry up and get back.

Having a dryer on an outside wall is something to keep in mind. We bought some land 20 miles inland from where we live now. I have been looking at house plans trying to decide if we should build something. With all the mess from the oil spill and the unemployment it's just a matter of time before real estate prices fall out.

Yesterday was very hot and humid here and is again today! I spent part of the day yesterday going thru my millions of books, sorting out which ones to get rid of, which ones to keep and store, and which ones to take with me. The "take with me" pile is way too big yet, so I will have to pare that down some :(

I put some of my bigger furniture on Craig's List yesterday too, so hopefully, I will be able to sell them soon. The next 6 weeks will go by fast! On Thursday, I am going to call that manager of the Great Clips in CA that I spoke with last week and see if she got my resume and follow up on that.

Played golf last night with my league. It was so hot and sticky! It was our Fun Night, so we played "best ball" so it made it go faster anyways. Then we went in the clubhouse for pizza and door prizes. It was fun but we were all soaked from sweat and feeling yucky! Couldn't wait to get home and jump in the shower! Steve stopped by last night for awhile. He said he will buy two new tires for my car before I leave. I think he worries about me! (I also think he doesn't want me to leave, but now that we are just friends, I have no desire to stay here for him).

I think I will get back to my book piles and go thru them again before I head off to work.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
