I don't know how long you'll be in Savannah - but one of our forum members will get to this thread eventually (she has a terrible internet connections right now) - she and her hubby workamp the winters near Savannah. I'm not sure exactly when they'll get down there - but they are great people.

I've known people who have worked for Amazon. It's hard work - some have been fine with it - some have hated it. I think if you go in knowing it's hard, but only for a few months, it could be ok. Depends on the person, obviously. Many return there for 2nd and 3rd years - and many quit. I've considered it - as I could use the money - but wouldn't be available in time for them this season - I don't think they want people who can't start till November.

Just as an FYI - I won't be starting with them until November 7th (which is their last start date) so if you're interested it might not be too late.

The Campbellesville, KY location - checked on their year round weather cause I was concerned about freezing pipes - but it seems like the mean temp there during that time of year is around 59° - sounded perfect.

A bit late but another warm welcome from the much too sunny south. Love the furbaby photos. Great looking dogs.

You might want to double check on the winter temps around Campbellesville, KY. The 59 mean temp seems a lot higher than I remember winters there. Of course this past winter you would have had frozen pipes even in mid FL!

The low there in KY is supposed to not go below 30 in Dec - so there shouldn't be frozen pipes. Need it much colder and staying colder, for that. Just might have to disconnect water occasionally. Doesn't mean it can't get colder, but I have had my rig in 20's overnight, even teens overnight - without having to worry about anything except the water hose. And I'm not a "winter worthy" rig. No heated tanks, etc.

I sent in an application - will see what happens - maybe we'll be meeting in KY.
