FALL-LIKE TUESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FALL-LIKE TUESDAY

GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!
Dang it's chilly here this morning----46 degrees when I woke up! Molly was reluctant to get outta bed and get her feet wet in the dewy grass. But the sky is cloudless, and it's supposed to warm up and be like summer again. I don't like that the days are noticeably shorter now already, but I suppose that "the universe is unfolding as it should,"----a little nugget from Desiderata which is one of my most favorite pieces of writing. I really need to try to get that transfered from my 33 record today to my MP3 player so I can play it through my radio here for the Ruckus.

Today I will call my RV dealer to see if my electrical box thing is supposed to arrive there, or not. If not, I will plan to visit Cedar and Kathy at their 'home away from home' tomorrow anyway. I think I now have it in my mind how to get there. The problem with programming my Tom Tom here is that it can't always find the satellites necessary for it to work right here on the property. I usually have to go to the corner of my road to get it to kick in. But I will also give a try to see if it can find the route I now have plotted in my head.

I have a few more things to take down to the pond to the leanto, and a few more things to carry out to the shelter up here for the upcoming Ruckus. Each time I go past my woodpile to go to the house, I am taking one firewood log for the cold fall nights I know I will
experience before I head to the warm southern climes for the winter....so my woodpile is getting restocked inside with no sweat!

Soon I should be able to see some money deposited into my checking account from NY State Teachers' Retirement System. I am also expecting a lump sum of my incentive ("get rid of the old geezer") money by the last day of July, too. That will give me a little backup for whatever. I am having them withold income taxes from that even before I get it.

I hope my son and his wife-to-be have been able to get their plane tickets home for this upcoming weekend so they can be in the wedding of one of Weldon's best friends as planned. They have been holding out for a last minute drop in prices, and they are usually lucky by doing it this way. Our local ariport has fantastic non-stop flights, 2.5 hours, from their FL airport to ours, sometimes for prices as low as 29.99 each way! I can barely drive to the airport for that price!

Ok...time to get moving here, get one more cup of coffee, and finish vacuuming inside. I got the upstairs done yesterday, after finding and going through some ancient photos of years gone by! A little distraction when I discovered those! Stop by and tell us about your day!

Good Morning ladies! It's good to be back tho I may never catch up on reading all that has been going on here.

My house is quite and all mine (and Nicky's) for the first time in more than a month. While I may be lonesome in a day or two, it is nice for now to be alone. House guests arrived the day after my uncle passed away a beginning of month. I just gave them keys and asked that they take care of Nicky when I left. Was gone a week longer than expected due to problems at farm in east TN. Have been on dead run since returning.

Remainder of this week will be playing catch up on everything. Not exciting but necessary stuff like paying bills, washing, cleaning, restocking everything (no food or toilet paper left, not sure what else has been depleted). Trip would be more fun but not right now. Am still working on maybe making the ARK gtg - will have that decision by end of this week. I so need a break.

Stay safe out there. Beth - glad you got to get that new kayak wet yesterday.

Good-morning, My goodness, where is everyone?

I have learned one thing this past week or so, YOU CAN NOT SET ON YOUR BUTT FOR A MONTH AND THINK YOU ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO AS USUAL !!!!!! Washing my car a few days ago, usually a few mins. of work, usually no problem, well, I was not good for the rest of the day, :D and had to push myself to finish it. This morning, have been sweeping my decks, front and back, took several breaks. Wow, this is not going to get it. It would be better for me if i could do some walking, but no where to walk here anymore, to many wild animals, and I don't mean just dogs. Also foliage is so high on edge of road if a car comes, you sure don't want to step into it, I don't like snakes, and they're probably loads of them in all of this kudzu. I have my r.v. to wash and wax, plan to take it in stages, side or so at a time, but waiting for a little coolness of a morning or evening. Might be good, if I could work myself back into doing some work, before I tackle that job.

Just got a call from my nephew, he is coming to stay overnight. Guess I should straighten the house up, think maybe dust some things, so you can see the color of my furniture :o :) and what my grandchildren look like in all of my photos setting around  :) At least thats a job inside with the A/C, I don't do to bad inside. He won't be here until 8 or so, coming up from Orlando. This is my sister's oldest son and he's kind of special to me, he visits every once in awhile.

Soos, you are such a busy lady. Wow, I get a wee bit tired reading of your plans for the day, but also gives me some ambition too. Just got to get all of my energy back. Of course, a trip would do wonders, the spirits being up, helps with the energy level, I think. The Ruskus coming up, is exciting. Sounds like quite a few will be there too, know you all will have a great time.

Sarah, I haven't been anywhere and I can't keep up with all the goings on , here. There are some busy ladies here and some with some great questions. I have learned several things, really liked learning how to get rid of all of the games on my FB page. That was super, went right over and did it ;) Driving the mt. roads, I was glad I did it right :) Most of the time when I leave here I have to drive 24 up through Mont Eagle, 4 mile incline and also decline. So I have had plenty of practice. Just as I topped it going north in r.v. was where I had my last blow out, at 55 miles an hr. Not good.

No real news from here, Hope you all have a Great day and for those traveling, stay safe.
Take care all,
CArol

So good to see you back on here OO. All the help you're giving for those going to Branson, is wonderful. They're all sure to have a Super Great time with all you have done for their stay. I'd love to be going, but have other plans. Would be so good to finally meet you. hope you'll come back on and say hi occasionally at least, have missed you here.

Good Morning Ladies... well it is still morning here 11:57am... we have sun and clouds and will be 90 today... back we go to the high temps and humidity...

My daughter called and we set up plans for the garage sale for Aug 19,20 & 21st... should be a good time with all of the college students coming back... Now I need to start marking things... that will be a chore...

Carolina strength comes slower and slower as we age... but you sound like you are doing great :!: Keep it up :!:

Soos I agree you are a busy lady :!: I wound up putting a can of tomatoes with chilies over the rice and chicken... it baked nicely and was good... no need to cook for a few days now... 4 piece of chicken last me 4 meals...

Blue I know the feeling my house is empty for the first time in many weeks... but it is good... I also need to get to the store for milk, bread and the like...

Time to get busy here... take care and have a great day everyone...

Carol, you need to take it easy! For heavens' sakes, go slowly! AND, I would reccommend hiring someone to wahs and wax your RV-----don't try it yourself yet. Sure do wish you were able to come to the Ruckus this year, but perhaps in 2011.

Remember, baby steps!
