Yep, the fun begins today....The 3rd Annual PA GTG!!! Am so excited!!!

Paulette should be here around 2-3pm.....Pat, when her A/C is fixed.....Haven't heard from Leslie, but hope she's on her way...

Now, remember, all, the air card signal is weak here, so posting photos will have to wait until one of us has good internet, but I will try to keep you all posted on our daily activities...

Ohio is patiently waiting.... remembering the beauty of the creek and the quiet of the trees...well it was quiet then, now I am not so sure. What will Marilyn do with out a golf cart? Do you get to borrow one for the week? Am thinking of all, have fun.

Well, the 1st day of the GTG started out with a bang!! Ernie went out to meet Paulette, guiding her around some tight right turns with her big rig...and "Crash bang" we had a doosy of a thunderstorm!! The wind a blowing and limbs a falling out of the trees....and tons of rain in about 30 minutes.....one good size branch hit the end of our 5er, but all is well....no damage......So, anyways, Ernie got Paulette all parked in site #59, telling her that she sure does like to make a "grand entrance" and she got all settled in. Right now, Paulette is the only one here.....Marilyn visited Sat., but didn't stay as she has some family issues that came up last minute so had to go back to Hershey. Margie and Pam stayed the weekend, but both have to work today and tomorrow, but will be back on Weds. for the detailed tour of Gettysburg. Margie is a certified battlefield guide and will give us a detailed story tour then......Okay, so, after Paulette got settled in, she came to our site for the "cocktail hour" and a light supper..... grilled Chipotle mayo Chicken salad sandwiches, with cuke and onion salad, and fruit cup....and of course, another glass of wine or 2... ...We chatted quite awhile and Ernie took photos of Paulette, Me and Spinner.....We planned our tour for today and then around 8:30-9pm, we all said Good Night...and hit the hay......

We took note that Paulette, Ernie & I have attended all 3 PA GTGs and will treat ourselves at "Ernie's (not our Sultan) Texas Hots" for lunch today....(Took Tina & Peggy there last year) to celebrate .

Well, need to get around and dressed so will stop for now. Will take lots of photos and hopefully get to the top of the hill, to post them...Remember "good things come to those who wait"......

YAHOO! Happy to hear that Paulete made it safely, although a bit ostentatiously! Also glad that stormy entrance didn't do damage to either vehicle.

I can't wait to see the pics that I know will be posted when time and connections permit---but, like Vickie, I will be impatient!

Sure do wish you all a wonderful GTG, and wish I could be there. I am shooting for PA GTG number 4!

Well, you all have done such a good job of waiting patiently that I guess I will get some pictures posted. First though, let me say that Lori and Ernie are truly great hosts. The campground is very peaceful and quiet. Definitely NO cell phones ringing!




This is the view out my front window. You can see that the ground is wet. Thankfully the storm blew over quickly.

Picture of the falls. There wasn't much water running as it has been so dry here this summer.


Here's the creek. If you look really close, you can see my site through the trees.

I had a site along that creek when I visited them. It is pretty and peaceful there, that's for sure.
