SUNDAY IT IS

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SUNDAY IT IS

GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!

It certainly sounds as if we all are very busy lately, as I read over yesterdays coffee posts. That flooding sounds scary again, and it seems as if the rain around the country just won't stop. We have been lucky here to get just the right amount this July. Today I am cool enough to have to seek some long pants and a long-sleeved shirt.

I see that I am really late getting this posted today---I was messing with a new avatar picture on Facebook. That site frustrates the living heck out of me every time I try to do anything on there. Sigh!

It's rainy/misty/cloudy/partly sunny/windy and about 68 degrees here this morning. Glad that I got the lawn mowed again after my blood drawing yesterday....it was amazingly long again. I had to make an appointment with my favorite skin doc this time as he has now become so popular that walk-ins won't work any more! So I will see him the first Monday in August---a couple of days before the Ruckus begins!

I also got another laundry done and hung out yesterday, some 'stuff' picked up throughout the house, a dump run done, and a prescription refilled. Then I actually picked up my fiddle and did some practicing for the first time since last winter! I hope that any of you with muscal instruments will feel free to practice in the presence of us all this year at the Ruckus. After all, if we all wait until we are perfect (HAH!) at playing, we would never play anything! Let's make a vow to play often this year! I will get out my base washtub, my washboard, some spoons, my little dancing man, my jungle drum, and anything else we all can learn to play!

Today I plan to pick some blueberies, some more raspberries, vacuum the house, and then maybe practice some guitar and some fiddling. Other than that, I may just have a relaxing day for a change. I would love to be able to put my door/opener strut on this trailer, but I have decided it will have to wait for some extra hands and brains to help me do that.

That's another thing I want some of you experts to do with me, when you all get here, is look at my old trailer and see what it would take to get that road-ready for next summer. I always have my truck/tent camper, but a trailer would be even better!

Sorry to talk about my upcoming GTG, but I use the same morning coffee posts for both the forums! I so wish many others of you could be coming up here, too. Maybe next year! I am expecting about 10 or more rigs, and it's scheduled to last from Wednesday through the following Monday. That next Wednesday I will be heading to VT for a bluegrass festival with a friend of mine.

So off I go....coffee is hot and is tasting mighty good. Stop by and let us share your day!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Well, it's not AM anymore! Actually it's 5 PM PST and I'm finally getting to read more posts after adding something to the General one about what I've been up to.
Just a bit ago I arrived back home after getting "my Little Missy" from her storage stall. She cranked right up and the AC blasted me on the way home. Got her in the drive, plugged in and trying to figure out if my gas part of my fridge is working. Need to go check here soon to see if anything is getting cold. ;)
Tomorrow I'm going a bit north to a resort type place along the Columbia River. It's halfway to my DDs so she can bring down the 2 GDs to swim. Not sure how my dog is going to like a CG without any real trails etc. altho it is in the country but I certainly don't want to only walk along the highway. Oh, well, I guess I shouldn't borrow trouble and just wait and see.
Hope everyone is well and I know quite a few are excited about their GTGs!!
