Bodega Bay Camping

Postby mtngal » Wed Jul 21, 2010 6:26 pm

Hi travel pals! I went camping recently with my sister and her grandsons at Bodega Bay along the Sonoma State Coast. It's a fantastic area, lots of access to the beaches and two campgrounds. Bodega Bay is a cute little town to visit. More geared toward fishing than tourists. North from there the coast only gets more rugged and remote.
I love it!

New posts are on my blog (thanks to Live Writer!).....

Great pics! Love the one of the Chapel in the fog!
Whenever I hear "Bodega Bay" I think of the movie "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock. I wonder if parts of the movie were actually filmed there?
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Great pics & tour, Diana. Another reason to come back to CA...especially the southern half. Sorry I missed you this trip.

I wonder if they have a Live Writer for Apple?

Beautiful pictures and narrative thank you, that is one of my favorite areas and have been there quite a few times while visiting friends in nearby Sebastopal.
Barbie, Bodega Bay is where The Birds was made. There are several signs around town telling about the filming.

When are you heading back to Texas? You should maybe leave early, come to the Ar GTG, go up to Branson with us and that would get you back to Texas around the first of Oct...just sayin'.
