WOOF WOOF WOOF....woof...woof.....Translation: "Dear Abby, Remember that I live with two bitches here in Ohio that fawn over me and constantly tell me I am wonderful....okay I think Blondie may like Remi better...but you get the idea. I do admire a girl that likes to go hiking and sniff interesting things.....rolling in stinky things is discouraged..the hoomans just don't seem to appreciate that much." "Remi on the other hand likes the playful sort...when he can get over being scared." "They say his big brown eyes will melt your heart."

Dear Herschel,

My Auntie Vickie is laughing really hard at me...she says you haven't even met me yet and you're already trying to pass me on to someone else.

Love the gift exchange idea. We used to do this at our Xmas party every year. The 1st year someone brought a Micky Mouse telephone that kept getting passed around and someone brought it every year for several years. We wrapped them. Made for more guess work.

Ooh, glad you brought that up again, Karen, there's been so much chit chat since that I forgot all about it...need to put it on the list and then go rummage thru the junk..er..gift closet and find something to bring!

Since we'll be so close (145miles) Carole and I have decided to go to Branson MO for a couple of days after the GTG and see a couple of shows. Anyone else interested in joining us Gonna stay at a PA park, the Branson Stagecoach RV Park.

Ok, have been out of town and can't seem to find the time to re-read all the posts, so will just ask. Last I heard we were up to 17 people, have there been more added since I checked in??

I'm in..can we stay more than 2 days? I haven't been to Branson in 15 years and that CG looks great, pool and everything! Let me know the dates and do you have your reservations yet?

No more reservations although there are a few more possibilities out there. Hopefully they'll get their reservations in so we can all be in the same loop.

Yes, yes, Karen...I have participated in the White Elephant gift exchanges with presents staying wrapped and with presents being unwrapped. I vote the passing/stealing of them staying wrapped. It does make it all the sillier because there is the imagination at work, the attractiveness of the wrapping, the rattle and the weight of the package :o   . The main rule we always play by is that during any "round" there is no limit to the number of exchanges....the only rule is that you can not choose the "gift" that was just taken from you hands.....there has to be at least one additional "steal' separating your going back for that "prize gift" that you have eyes for! I am not saying that some "gifts" aren't gone after just to hear the whine of loss on the part of another....that would be so mean.....and we are "nice" people :o ;) afterall.

Herschel wants Ms Abby to know that he does appreciate her and is looking forward to meeting her. He just has never met a girl so obviously classy before..well there was that Halloween party a few years back but he wants to forget that experience if he can. Maggie and Peaches are practical women. I am not sure that either of them believe in the fancy stuff. One look at Peaches in her "mud bath" and Herschel instantly respected her creativity. He wants to know how to get away with that. Tell Abby to invited him for a long forest walk and it will be an instant friendship of kindred spirits. :)

Me, I think it being wrapped, would take the fun out of it being stolen. But that's just me. Now, you could start with them being wrapped - and the person who first chooses the gift unwraps it. Just an idea. I had a ball with this one time also - but they were unwrapped - and a couple presents went all around the group - was so funny. Was a good thing I wanted something no one else did - not sure what that says for me or for who brought that gift :)

I'm most likely not going to be in AR - although it's still a possibility - but might be able to meet in Branson - give me the place and dates. Probably couldn't afford to do both. But nothing is written in stone :)

Although I've never played this game, I thought it would be funnier unwrapped (after the first person unwraps), too!
