Like when I was dumping Hope one time and this old guy came strolling by, watched me for a minute and then asked me how did my husband talk me into doing that? Looked him straight in the eye and told him "He up and died on me (which is the truth)". That shut him right up. And then of course there's always the "How does a little gal like you drive that big old RV/ride that big old motorcycle?" Same answer to both...I'm driving/riding it, not carrying it!" LOL! You should have just told him that the rig's yours and DH is afraid to drive it, you put in it what you want to put in it, and he just gets in, sits down and shuts up!

I was being cordial because DD was with me...otherwise he would have heard it..

I really like what my friend said..I should have said...In a very low conspirator voice....
Well, actually, we just finished the bomb shelter and it's my job to stock it. You see, the rest of the compound, er, I mean Family, is out at the gun show today. But its okay because they already took care of the cabins and maps.

I have gotten some comments from men...I always have to wonder what they think when DH is with me and I am the one backing it in.

I got the same reaction from men when I bought my own boat many years ago. "Did your daddy buy that for you?" "Does that belong to your dad?" And when I joined a yacht club on the lake, I got hassled by the boat dockers there because they didn't believe I was actually a member when I would pull up to the dock there. I had to take out my membership card every time, until all the guys there got to know me.

Thanks Soos for the link for Hope! Things change so fast for her, I can't keep up!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

They probably think to themselves, wow, that guy took on the hard job of teaching his wife to back in and he did pretty good.

I KNEW Irish coffee had more going for it than just its good taste! How nice to know it's so healthful! Hmmmmm.....wonder if 8:00 am is too early for a dose of good health??!! :)
