COMFY SUNDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

COMFY SUNDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Sun Jul 18, 2010 8:17 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's a comfy 64 degrees out there so far today, with the sky getting more and more overcast. We had some pretty wild winds last night just before dark, and an inch of rain fell in about 25 to 30 minutes! The lightning and hail stayed south of us, however, for which I am very thankful, as was Molly. The trailer was rocking and rolling for a short time.

Let's see what's on the schedule for today. If it's going to rain some more, the last bit of mowing I didn't get to yesterday, and the leanto fixing-up will have to wait----and I will head to Plattsburgh for some Ruckus supplies and a high, foldable-uppable chair for my computer 'desk' (table) here in the trailer. I saw them there the last time I went to either Walmart or Target----can't remember which store it was----and knew I should probably have bought one. ($30.00) I just hope there are still some left. Actually, I will wait until tomorrow, Monday, to go there, as I want to stop at the RV dealers too to check on how to install my new door holder-opener that I bought. So that leaves house chores for today...ACK! Sorting through stuff, maybe scanning some pics and saving them on thumbdrives.

I hope you all are surviving the heat wave I am hearing about on the news. I guess the first 6 months of this year have been the warmest on record. I am loving it up here in the mountains, but suspect it might be a bit too hot for me at triple digit temps.

Time to get moving, as I luxuriated in bed this morning, watching some TV news and waiting for the sun to get shining through my rear window. I also watched a great program on the History channel in the middle of the night about Egyptian pyramids. As Beth mentioned, it's so nice to not have to panic about sleep deprivation if I stay up later or find something neat to watch in the middle of the night and then sleep in later in the mornings! I could certainly get used to this lifestyle!

Stop in for some coffee and some sharing of your life! Happy Sunday! (It IS Sunday, isn't it??)

Sixty four sounds good Soos, I should head your way except it is too hot to drive out of Illinois right now!!
Know what you mean about waking in the night an not worrying about having to get up and go to work. I see a lot of good PBS shows at night then some mornings wonder is they were real or dreams.
Everyone must be sleeping in this morning. I've have eggs, sausage and waffles on the table come and get it!

Good morning gals
been up for awhile as little Pixie woke me up at 3:30 wanting to play. I notice she
seems to see very well at night under the tv light or the clock radio light but in the
regular daytime,,,,,,,she can't see the floor right smack dab in front of her. I need
to put an eye doctor vet visit on my budget.
Nothing planned today, still hot of course, but thats to be expected through sept.
The ac is holding up so far, so good. Went out and turned off the switch for the
hot water heater to cut back on amps that the ac might need to kick on. I don't
need the hot water right now and during the day the cold water side runs hot long
enough to run a sink of hot water for washing dishes. (very hot)
Will probably take a mid morning nap, maybe a late afternoon nap too, :D cause
I can, but I know my sleep schedule is getting off and when its time to go back to
work I'll suffer for a little while. Oh well, will deal with it then.
Coffee is good and a little toast and fruit this morning for breakfast.
Enjoy your day

Good morning to all,

My first Morning Coffee post.

It is a cool 77 degrees and raining this morning. Hence, the cooler temp from our normal 90s plus.

Having my coffee and watching/listening to the History Channel.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning!
57 and cloudy her in the PNW. Not really summertime weather, but I'm enjoying it! Yesterday was in the 70s for highs. :D
Yesterday I baked sugar cookies with my 2 GDs. Seems every time they come the youngest thinks we have to do that now. They like using my cake decorating stuff to make some fancy frosting designs etc. Those tips are a pain to clean afterward, but I'm so loving my time with them and the memories are more that worth a few extra minutes of cleanup.
Called my son this morning to see how my DIL was faring. She had major surgery on Friday. Lost allot of blood and her body is taking it's time making more. They are still debating if she needs a transfusion or not. Giving her iron today to help her body along as well as drinking allot of water. Had a scary moment after the surgery in that they overdosed her on one of her meds and she quit breathing. Good thing my son (he's an ER Dr), was in the room with her at the time as she's not hooked up to any vital reading machines that would have alarmed the staff.
Not much planned for today. I guess lawn mowing is in order, tho. Tomorrow I have 2 meetings. One at 10AM and one at noon.
Wishing you all a great day!

Missed coffee to go to Church, but I need that more than the coffee ;) GD will be here another week so was nice to have her with me to try a new Church. Somehow I manage to try a new one when they are having a picnic after the service. I think it's God's way of helping me to meet new people. Lots of food to choose from so Maddie May and I filled our tummies :D

Last night was pretty rough here. Barbie shared her severe weather with us. The weather radio kept waking me up. I finally turned it off after the storm was here. Nothing we could do at that point but pray and huddle under the covers. Can't see us running for the cumfort station in the hail and wind! It looked like a hurricane for awhile! Rain, hail, and high winds really had Myrtle rockin' for awhile. I heard some sirens going off somewhere, but they do that now for high winds and not just tornadoes. We finally got back to sleep, then I had to send Maddie back to the couch...She's a blanket hog! Had to move some outdoor stuff back to it's place and there are a lot of twigs and branches down out here. There was 2" of rain in my gauge, not counting the rain that was blowing sideways. Now there is water again in some of the places that had finally dried out. I pray we don't get any more this week so we can open back up.

The other custodian lady, Jeanie, is having some of her kids and friends over for a cookout tonight and she invited me. DXH said Maddie can go over to spend the evening with he and Gizmo. She will like that better and I will be able to have grown up talk without 7 yr old interruptions. For now, I think I will take a rare nap while GD is reading quietly

It was a busy day in this kitchen yesterday-----nice to see!

Congrats to Carolyn for her first coffee post! Hope to hear more from you in the mornings!

Lenora, that scare with your daughter-in-law was REALLY scary! No wonder I am so afraid of having hernia repair surgery, whcih I have needed for along time!

LInda, that kind of stormy weather would have me crazy! I don't like even just little plain little thunderstorms!

And Sharon checked in, too! Good to hear from you all!
