They turned off the oil in the gulf!

Well, today is a very good day if you live on the Gulf! BP seems to have capped (if only a temp. move) the leaking oil. Let's hope this holds and they can complete their mission to shut down the well for good. I'll drink to that!!! Cheers!

Read that news, also. Here's hoping it holds!
BTW, did you also see/read about the ancient ship they dug up at ground zero? They suspect it was used as landfill. Found a 100 lb anchor, too.

Yes, was that weird or what? You think they would have seen it when they were building there???? Said it could be from the 1700's...now that is some old boat.

Not holding my breath on BP's fix, but hopefully it won't be another screw up by them.

To keep tabs on the containment cap, here is a link to the video from the ROVs:

It is good news about the oil cap. i hope it does what it needs to do. I heard about finding the boat in ground zero. The reporter also stated that once exposed to air, the ship started to decompose quickly and really started to smell. They don't know how much they will be able to salvage. Apparently, portions of western Manhattan were created by a land fill. I did not know that. Linda
