Welcome Lori - yep what they all said. Check the fuse(s), then take it back - I took mine back 4 times. You will love this forum and the discussions and information.

Love your furbabies - they are a lot of company, aren't they. I wouldn't part with my three for any man in the world.

Any chance of you making it to the September GTG in Arkansas?

OH, byw, have them make sure ALL the fuses are installed. A camper here just bought a new truck with a tow package BUT they didn't install the fuse need to run it all.

:( no to close to my trip to California. I have enough property for you all to boon dock on my land.....lol

Hi Lori, sorry to hear of your trials and tribulations, but am truly impressed on how you pulled yourself up and moved forward. Takes a lot of internal strength and faith in onself. Your furbabies are soooo cute. I can attest to the caring of the women on this forum...I come and go and they still like me ;)
I don't get to RV due to a variety of issues, but do have one, and one day will get her back on the road for a little get away. I saw you mention CA...whereabouts if you don't mind me asking. I live in SoCal/North of San Diego, South of L.A.
Hope you get your wiring issue resolved. Sometimes it is in the wiring connection/plug too, but agree with others about taking it back to get fixed right.
Best wishes for your happiness and exciting travels in your new home on wheels.

Welcome, Lori... and a hearty CARPE Diem to you! Ditto what all the rest of the girls saidl I spent a lot of my life waiting on a man and finally,, FINALLY! decided I am the one that I can depend on,, and no one else.! SO.. with that said, I will just add....

you are doing the right thing. Life is too short to spend it on your butt, waiting on someone else for your happiness.

And ditto on the pics ! we love to see what each other are up to! Blogs are fun too!

kudos and hugs to you from another independent woman!

Janet in Texas....

by the way...... where in CO are you? You are in my favorite state!

Go anywhere and everywhere ,, just stay away from the GUILT TRIP! That is unnecessary! Just love your doggies and...
Isn't it great about dogs? They love you the same no matter what your condition,,, no makeup,,hair a mess,,, however late you come in,, whatever is on their plate,, ... no matter anything! Their love is unconditional!. A man.. well,,we all know that most of them are not that dependable! Except you can depend on them to disappoint you!.

wow! thanks for letting me get THAT off my chest!

WELCOME, LORI!

Congratulations for going after your dream! For years, the most I could do to satisfy my love for camping was to build myself a leanto on our pond in the woods and camp all summer with our two kids. My husband detested camping----why hadn't I seen that from the beginning? I have been on my own now for over 15 years. My kids and I had great summers, canoe camping, tent camping, and living in the leanto all summer. Now I have my own trailer, and, although I complain about hating to unhook it and hitch it up and haul it and then then unhitch and rehook it, as some have tried to tell me, I need to move it around more. I know they are right, and so I will try to not complain as much. This is the first time I haven't had to try to cram a year's worth of camping into my free two months in the summers, and I just haven't realized that yet.

Happy to meet you!

Happy travels!

Hi Lori,

Welcome, I am kinda new here too, just joining a week ago. This forum does become addictive. ;) I love just checking in throughout the day to see what the gals are chatting about. Reading your post made me think, it seems we are always drawn back to the times and things that have given us comfort and joy. The best times of my life have always been with family and friends either at the beach, on a boat or in an RV setting. So, here is to toasting your new "life on wheels" and to you finding your happiness! Your puppy dogs are so cute!

Have a good one!

Hi Lori and welcome! California and Colorado are my two favorite states! Have lived in both. In fact, Bikerchic (Linda) and I are going out to California together (tenatively) at the end of September. Me to live there, and her to spend the winter in her RV. I don't have an RV yet but someday... I lived in Lakewood, CO 10 years ago and love it out there too!

Feel free to ask lots of questions. I have learned a ton of things on here (not all just about RV's!) and had a ton of laughs! We share lots more than just RV stuff so feel free to tell or ask us anything!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Welcome Lori! Good for you for living your dream ;) I used to tent camp my way from CA to IA and down to TX and back with my DH and little kids. I prefer motor homes now 8-) My life is a soap opera so me and Barbie get along great, right girlfriend? As she told you, we plan to go to southern CA this fall...hopefully the Palm Springs area. I got divorced in May (3rd husband) and decided to continue the RV lifestyle I had started with him. I bought my own used '98 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 34J, Class A motor home. Not luxury, but hey, it's paid for! I have been married to 2 Marines and 1 retired Army. Nuf said about that! I'm enjoying my independence and work camping. I would rather be where it is warm in the winter, so I choose to live in Myrtle (my mh) and hit the road before the snow flies. Started out with a 37' fifth wheel toy hauler a few years ago. I always did most of the driving. With a dually it didn't hardly feel like I was pulling anything. Got pretty good at backing into sites, too! I always figure if I can do it, any woman can ;) Looking forward to seeing pics of yours! I'm in IA for the summer so if you get this way, let me know! Love your traveling companions, too :D Safe travels!!!
