Where's Liz? Yellowstone, Day 2

Postby Liz » Sun Jul 11, 2010 10:52 pm

I finished posting pics from Yellowstone on my blog. We are now in the Columbia River Gorge. Will meet up with Lenora (Almost There) tomorrow. I was unsuccessful contacting my cousin in Vancouver...she must be traveling in New England alreay....where they are planning a memorial service in August on Boston Island, ME for her mother. I won't get back in time to attend.

Liz, those are absolutely stunning pictures. And here am I - the one who gets too close to the edges of things and the animals - thinking folks were a bit too close to that mama bear with her babies. But how kewl was that? Could the bird be an osprey?

if it is I think its a young one and that maybe the problem with identifying it it may be a young one
or one out of it's element and it's not showing up in the books

beautiful Liz! As many times as I've been thru there the only animals I've seen were 1 deer, tons of buffalo and some donkeys. Lucky you to see a bear!

Beautiful pics and video. Liz do you ever make your pics bigger and frame them? I think you could cover you walls with all the beautiful pics you take!

Absolutely gorgeous Liz - thank you for sharing!! When we saw a mama bear and her 2 cubs, they were down in a ravine eating - not out amongst the tourists!! You got lucky. Did look like people were very close to the bears.

Beautiful!!!

Was it safe (or smart) for those people to be out on the road where the bear and her cubs were crossing?
