Anyone notice that no one is over by Carol and Tina??? What's with that?

YA, WHATS WITH THAT? Leave it to Sharon to notice the obvious here, I've been feeling a little lonesome wayyyyy over there, Tina probably has too, but we're really good friends, so we'll be ok , won't we Tina ?????!!! Wow, more coming thats great !!!! Hey, Sharon, you and Birdie are close, wonder , will we be able to walk through there or are we going to have to walk alllllllll the way around to wherever? Of course, I won't mind the walking, BOY DO i NEED IT. Don't want to run into poison ivy, cutting through either. Vicki, didn't you and Ronnie go there? Are the woods thick or what? Guess I should look up the pix, but I'm lazy :) I'm so pleased our numbers have grown. There has to be more who are thinking about it, aren't there??????

Hows the foot Carolyn? Going to be ok, I hope, thinking about you.

Safe and Happy travels,
CArol

Just went and found the really nice pix, that Vicki posted a while back. I didn't see any reason we wouldn't beable to walk right through. What a lovely CG. Tina and I, aren't going to be that far away !!! Boy, I feel better ;)

Yes, Carol, you can easily walk thru the wooded area in the circle, it looked like they kept it clear of high grass and stuff.

Then again...Carol is just soooo nice....there might be a reason we allowed a little space? :o

What I did notice from nice Vickie's original pictures was that the table and flat "sitting" area on my site is facing the lake AND since the trees are so open you can see the water AND those other sites closer to the lake. :P just in case we should need to keep out eyes out for them. The other reason is that I have several dogs that LOVE water and it is nice to be close but not too tempting  :) :) I am sure that they will be swimming enough.

I have an idea for an activity. A gift exchange like a white elephant/Christmas in Sept type of exchange. Nothing over $5 dollars.... or Goodwill, yard sale and re-gifting articles only  Then as I think several members have explained around the holidays, you draw numbers and starting a #1 everyone gets to pick up a gift only those that comes later get to pick any gift even one that has already been chosen. Not explaining this well but it usually involves much laughter and in our case probably a few idens with a flamingo on them

Me too! I've only played that once, the first person chose a gift and unwrapped it, the second could either take that gift or chose another one, third person could chose from the first two or a new one, is that the way you play, Tina. Like I said I've only done it once and don't remember when the persons who have their gift taken gets to chose. Tina, you'll have to set it up at the GTG! :D

hey we played that game at a Christmas party once, as each guest arrived they were
given a number and the matching number was put in a bucket. You put your gift in
the pile, then when its "time" for the big gift exchange, a number is drawn out of
the bucket and if you have the matching number you get to choose from the pile
of gifts. Then as the game proceeded each number drawn you could choose from
the pile or choose a gift someone else got. There was one item that changed hands
6 times that night. It was so funny. If someone chose to take your gift you got to
pick another one from the "pile"

I just caught this...you're referring to Doofus as "nice Vickie" ? ? ? Vicki(no e) is the NICE Vicki...

I think we should add something to the tentative itinerary - a Seminar Defining Doofus, Dufus, and Dewfus, AND Clarifying the Definition of NICE...

FYI: Results from orthopedic...I have two small fractures in/on/near my ankle. No surgery needed. Orders are to not to put weight on right foot for one month (use crutches) and then return to doc office for another xray (Aug 11). If everything looks well, should be able to start putting some weight on it. Good news: I should be in good shape for the AR GTG.

Bad news: I am scheduled to go to Bear Creek, MI the last week of July (work related). My plans were to Fly in Mon, Tue & Wed class, instead of flying home on Thur , I was planning on flying out on Sunday. I would sightsee Thur - Sat, on my nickel, then fly home on Sunday. I don't know how that is going to work with me having to use crutches. I may have to see if I can change my return flight, without it costing me too much money. :( Also, the third weekend in August, I was leaving to visit my brother in Cuernavaca, Mexico for a week. I sure hope I will be able to apply all my weight on my foot without the assistance of crutches.
