Yeah, got 'Yotes out here too. I hear them singing almost every evening and I think they are up in the little hill not to far from me. When Chewy and I took our pack walk a couple of weeks ago we walked up near the hill and I could hear them or their babies yipping so Chewy and I avoid walking that way now. She's just the right size for a coyote meal....nice and fat!
I've seen lots of roadrunners in the wild growing up in NM and a former BF lives next to a nature preserve and he had one build a nest in the hitch on his 5'er. And you're right Ava, they're meat eaters. Haven't seen many lizards or snakes around here, so don't know what this guy is eating.
