My set up at Silver Lake! How I love it here!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

It's already 71 degrees at 6:00, and is supposed to be another very hot morning. What worries me is the forecast for nasty thunder showers, hail, flash flooding, and more that could hit us this afternoon and evening. If It appears that it's getting realy bad, I think Molly and I will abandon camper and head home for a while to the safety of my house! (I'm only about 13, or so, miles from my house.) In the meantime, I intend to swim all morning after my coffee! There are loons here this year, which I love to listen to as I fall asleep at night, and tons of wild mallard hens with babies of all sizes and ages in tow. There are a bunch out there at the waterfront peeping now, as they scurry along for bugs at the water's edge.

Time to feed Molly, make another cup of coffee, and enjoy this morning's swimming weather. If I do go home, I will bring my canoe back so I can paddle when the storms are over.

Happy Friday to all......this is my son's closing day for his new FL house property. I am so excited for them!

Hi Soos and all!

Oh, your pictures look so nice and peaceful. Whatta nice spot and looks like you may have the whole place to yourself. Is it your property, or a nice spot off the beaten path? We never have gotten to the Adironacks, but have friends and family that camp/boat on Lake George. It is on my "bucket list" to visit the area.

Enjoying my first day off for a few weeks. My principal asked me as I was leaving yesterday, if I would be available to come back in a couple more days to hand out the FCAT scores to the parents when they come in. Whatta fiasco that whole thing was. We FINALLY did get the scores about a week ago. These are the test scores that the kids took in March in grades 3,4,& 5. The company messed up getting the results back to the schools...Oh well, gotta look on the bright side, more money for me.... :D

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!

Good morning from the Sawtooth Mtns of Idaho! Amazing I have aircard service here.

What a beautiful spot you have there on Silver Lake, Soos. Definitely get the canoe and enjoy. Glad you're able to beat the heat the NE has been getting. I remember going to a Silver Lake in VT as a kid. The last time I visited there as an adult, I remember the water was numbing cold. I expect it's that way where you are too...you're just used to it.

It's sweatshirt weather here in the mtns. again, although yesterday got quite warm. I'm looking forward to the scenic route through the Sawtooths today, and perhaps a few short hikes.

PNW ALERT: We'll be entering your area via the Columbia River Gorge in the next few days and traveling around WA & OR over the next 2 weeks. Anybody in the area that wants to gtg, let me know where you are, and we'll try to do it. Would love to meet any and all! Sprinter, where are you?

Hope everyone has a beautiful day whatever you are doing.

good morning
the pics are lovely Soos, don't forget to put the awning in if you get a big storm.
It could cause some serious damage.
nothing special going on in my world today, notice yesterday I have a little damage
from the summer heat, and guess its actually my own fault. I had put that reflective
stuff on the door window, it looks like aluminum foil bubble wrap stuff. They use it
alot down here in arizona on the windows to reflect the heat. Never thought about
it but the frame around my window is a type of plastic stuff and it caused a "solar
oven effect" on that plastic and its a tad warped. The seal is melted out of the edge,
and the glass has slid down just enough to cause a little open gap at the top. One
more thing to add to my list of repairs to take care of in September. :(
Dishes are done, and I'm about to get started on some laundry. Time for a refill on my
coffee, a little toast and yogurt for breakfast and I'm good to go.
Have a great day and enjoy yourself!

Well, I am still on the first cup of coffee this morning. Have been working on it for over an hour. Guess I need to finish it off and do some stuff. Will be another scorcher here today at around 104. Some areas around Tucson got rain yesterday. That's good. Will do some errands and look at another RV project. Just finished a couple. The hummingbirds are putting on a show every morning and evening. Hope everyone on the road is safe and those parked are comfy and having fun.

Nice hot sunny day today! Not as hot tho, as many of you. Only 85 today and less humid.
I am on my way to get a much needed massage this morning! That will feel great! Then back to work

Soos, that place looks very nice, and quiet! You could almost skinny dip at night and not get caught!

I've been checking on the National Zoo's Black Footed Ferret web cam, to watch the babies, every day. They are growing so fast! Can't believe they are only 2 weeks old and already about 4 times the size they were! Their eyes should be opening soon, then mom will be very busy keeping them under control! Last year they showed a mom that had 6 kits and was she ever busy with that group!!

Take a look! (go about halfway down the page and you will see the video screen)

Gotta go get my massage now!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

This was this morning, early. Now it's getting windy and cloudier and I can hear thunder in the distance. I guess Molly and I will head out soon to get some groceries, go to the bank, and pick up some stuff I left at home. (Not on purpose!)

My surge protector was running with the red "be cautious" light on, on my home power, that is-----I remember thinking it might not be going to hook up showing I had power, but, when the green power light came on, I figured things were ok. However, that red cautious light was still on. It signals reverse polarity or no ground, if I remember the manual correctly-----which I have left at home! No wonder I got shocked yesterday while hooking up my chains and break-away switch! So.....I guess I need to get Wiley to fix that electrical circuit, pronto....I would love someone to put in a 30 amp plug device there...how hard is that to do? Or get my son to fix it when he shows up in August for a day or two. I need to get a different adapter for this campground box/pedestal, as, with its lip around the plug-ins, my large adapter won't fit far enough in to make a connection. I would much rather use the surge protector than the medium appliance electric cord I have hooked to my RV cord and adapter plug. I hope they sell smaller adapters that are still rated for 20 or 30 amps? I will soon find out!

Gonna check the weather report now before I head out---I already put my awning up. Getting really windy.

My driveway is a bit slanted but you are welcome to use it and plug into my house current (sorry won't be able to use AC). Also you can use my washer and dryer/shower etc, whatever!
