OTSEGO LAKE STATE PARK

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jul 08, 2010 7:11 pm

Here are the pictures you all have been waiting for from my first camping trip. This is Otsego Lake State Park. 62 acres with over a half mile of beach, 2 picnic shelters, picnic area, boat lalunch, walking trails, concession, horseshoes, volleyball, playground etc. 150 sites spread out through the trees in two campgrounds. This is the park I work at also. Enjoy. May not get them all in one post so may have to split it up unless kind Beth puts it all together for me :)

Here's my rig all set up. The green Gator in front is one of our park maintenance vehicles. I was on lunch break when I took the picture:

OTESGO LAKE STATE PARK Part III

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jul 08, 2010 7:31 pm

Next two shots are of some of the North Campground. The brown building in the background of the first picture is one of the Toilet/Shower buildings that I and 4 others on the maintenance crew help maintain. My rig is the first on the right in the second picture.

This is the South campground. All but the first 3 or so sites on the right side are lakefront. There is also a mini cabin in this campground that is available for rent

This is the park's new Toilet/Shower building. Was just opened last year. A "Green" building which was built of natural materials, is solar controlled with sensor lighting inside, on demand water heaters and 2 of the showers have full bathroom/shower combos. Another building of which I help maintain.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't merge the posts into one - just made Part II and Part III be responses to Part I. Is there a reason you couldn't do it all in one post? We don't have a limit on the length of posts. Doesn't matter to me - and I'm happy to help - just wondered.

Loved the pictures.

I tried to put it all in one post but the problem was that as I kept typing down, the bar alongside this box hit the bottom and wouldn't accept anymore words, pictures or what not from me. It only goes so far and that's it. Thanks Beth, I'm glad you enjoyed them.
