4th of July Excitement

Another motorcycle report, but it's all I've got for a while....Bf got tickets for the Red, White and Cruise run to Fontana Auto Club Speedway. They included group ride to the Speedway, 3 laps around the track, preferred parking, dinner, another lap around the track, and centerfield parking for the fireworks. What a deal!
200 bikes for the run from the Corona Harley dealership escorted by 2 Huey helicopters and motorcycle cops:

First group of bikes making their laps at close to 100 mph:

The traveling wall was there along with a very moving ceremony that brought home what the 4th is really all about:

Another lap around the track with the people in the stands cheering us on and a standing ovation for us and then parked in front of the winners circle:

Fireworks pictures didn't come out so good:

It was such a kick to ride a track where so many great drivers have raced. You have no idea how steep the track is until you try to walk up it, and that was on the straight-away, but you don't notice it when you're riding it. Another trip where the wussy girlie decided to ride passenger instead of riding her own! LOL! Another moving ceremony before the fire works and actually said a prayer for our forces on the firing line. So good to hear that in this day and age. Such a fun night and so glad we went. Bf is still jazzed about riding on the track!

That is so kewl. Funny, I was called a wuss by someone today - now you are calling yourself one.

Thanks for taking us with you.

Doubt if I could afford the gas to get it that far!! It was in the starting area inside the track after dark and they lit it off..flames coming out of those 6 tubes...talk about cool! I wanted to see it run a lap, but guess they couldn't afford the gas either!

Thanks, had helmet hair and that's his play bike. It was an ultra classic with comfy seats, but when he bought the new one he put that seat on it that kills my butt and there's no sissy bar on it. I told him from now on that was his "single guy" bike!
This is the one we usually ride, much more comfy!!

Hmmmmmmm ,I posted, but it didn't post. :( Oh well, see if I can bemember what I said? Ummmmmmm, Oh yeh! WOW what a Fantastic 4th! Certainly one to remember. Oh, and I don't think you are a wuss for wanting to ride with your honey vs/solo. Trips like this are better done in tandem then solo. Somehow I can't see you hauling butt 100mph around that track - YIKES. So glad you are having so much fun fun fun and are enjoying great times with honey.
annnnnnnnnnd YOU LOOK MAHVELOUS - as always.
