This is a FIRST

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

This is a FIRST

Morning all. My first time to be first in here!

Sitting at a Ford dealer to get Jean's truck spiffy - oil changes and a few other things.

Sorry, no coffee or cakes here - but I'm sure others can provide. Nothing but a big tv with sports on - ugh lol

Have a great day.

GOOD MORNING BETH AND ALL!

Nice to see you for coffee this morning! Hope the truck servicing is fast and you can retreat to coolness soon.

Another beautiful sunny day here----real summer as it's already 79 degrees out there! It very cool last night, as usual, so made for great sleeping. I went to bed early, after I got frozen out of the RV Singles chatroom for the second time. The kids celebrated with another bonfire and some carousing, but I opted for an early bedtime to feel good for today! (What the heck.......am I getting old???) I tried several of DunLoggin's pudding shooters first, however----I made two batches, one from Devil's Food chocolate pudding laced with 99 Oranges booze. VERY good----orange chocolate flavor is wonderful. The second batch was Pistachio pudding and vodka----also very tasty, as the vodka sort of disappears. I still have a bottle of Yukon Jack to try with some sort of pudding----any suggestions? I have some butterscotch flavored pudding and some chocolate-chip/Oreo cookie flavored, and vanilla.

Plans for today are to swim somewhere as it gets even warmer. The kids will move venues to Joe's parents' house, for which they are house/dog sitting for a week while they go camping. They have a backyard pool, and I have been invited to have a cookout around the pool there tonight! Perhaps the campsite at Silver Lake can wait another while! (Just about four miles from here is Joe's parents' place.)

Hope you all have a wonderful day! Coffee is hot, but iced coffee might in store for later!

Happy travels!

good morning
didn't sleep very good last night, Gracie was restless from the booms
of the fireworks, so she kept moving around and waking me up. She
isn't as scared as she used to be, but enough to make her go off feed
and be little restless.
Plans for today.........I've decided to rearrange the furniture! I'm going
to move the dinette area over to the window by the door. That task is
of course going to give me that "but first" syndrome which generally
involves extra cleaning in places you didn't think needed it. That will
be followed by the "while I'm at it" syndrome, and I will probably
end up getting the paint roller out and paint the slide area. :o even
though I like to paint, I just don't feel like doing that, ah, maybe
tomorrow :D maybe not. I'm like Soos now, all this time on my hands
and no work schedule.
Coffee is good but I'm on my last cup for the morning. Toast for the
tummy and then a little walk for the girls. Enjoy your day and be safe.

Can you believe it?! For the first time people in our area had to watch fireworks wearing coats and under blankets! It was darn chilly out!
My DD/family all were here and we shared a bbq, then fireworks, with my great neighbors. They are allot of fun. You might remember me asking for prayer for David as he is still battling colon cancer (38 yr old). He and his wife, Lynn, have 3 adopted kids, (11,14 and 16), and their kid's older half brother (21) was here for a visit so the siblings were enjoying looking at pictures and remembering. The 11 yr old is the only one that David and Lynn got when she was just a new baby. The 16 and 14 yr olds were like 4 and 6 when they got them. They still have memories of having to find food in garbage cans and dumpsters.
My youngest GD, Amanda 8, didn't want to go home last night. She cried like she would never see me again! Even took home one of my T-shirts to sleep in. I so adore her an her sister. How blessed is my life? :D
Oh, and Lynn got a Kindle for her birthday so I got to play on it. Pretty slick! She has an awful lot of free books already downloaded. Many of the classics, which I like. I also got to hear the audio books being read. I think I'd enjoy that allot. She did say that the newer ones are suppose to come out with MP3 players, but that is nothing I'd care for as I'm not much of a music listener, especially when I'm reading. I think that comes from working for years at Kmart and having to listen to their same canned music over and over all day!!
Stay safe everyone and Barbie, thanks for keeping us updated on Linda.

Surprise!!! Yes, it's really me! This won't be long as I already typed out a long post and then lost it. Iced soy latte with hazelnut, please! Dang, I miss you girls!!! I guess Barbie is keeping you up to speed on my life. Thanks, girlfriend! Still no computer. Had to send it in, after all. Spent the day yesterday on Mom's to do some job hunting for my winter job.

Still displaced because of flooding and now I hear rain on the roof again...aargh! I'm above the lake for now so high and dry for my gtg with Barbie next week. Just hating not working!!! No work...no pay! Hope I don't have to go job hunting.

My GD was here for three wks so I is quiet with her gone. Had a lot of fun and laughs. She was good help at work. We split the can and bottle redemption money and I helped her pay for a manicure and pedicure before she left. Reminded me why I don't splurge on that for myself anymore. Man, is that expensive! My other GD will be here for 3 wks, starting next wk. Barbie will get to meet her. Everyone loves Maddie! She's so sweet!!!

Heard about the GTG in Sept. Sure hope I can make it!

Sorry about being displaced due to CG flooding. Scary stuff! Hope you get working asap. Funny how the bills always
