WOW!!!! I guess NOT for trailers or big rigs! I had forgotten how curvy and steep is that road! Somewhere I did that, back in the 60s, and I know I must have some black and white or Polaroid photos of the trip-----it was scary, I remember that! I was driving a Mercury Comet at the time, hauling a VW Beetle, which we left at the bottom, thank goodness! Thanks for the great memories and pics!

I tried to leave a comment in your blog, but I have to choose from a drop-down window and I have no accounts like those choices, so won't let me comment. What is "Open ID?" It sounds public, or something?

It's been years since I've been there. Thanks for the journey. Absolutely breathtaking.

Soos, I can't post to blogspot blogs, either. Well, not most of them. They set it up to help combat spammers, but it means lots of us can't either unless we're willing to open certain types of accounts. But Liz will get our comments here :)

Unfortunately, I never got there when I was living in Denver. I did drive some harrowing roads in the mountains tho! They don't want to give you a false sense of security with guard rails! I was alone on Loveland Pass, taking pictures with one hand, driving with the other, watching the road with one eye, watching the view with the other, all on a very icy road! Not a good idea but couldn't help myself! Colorado has the best views!
Great pics as usual, Liz!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Liz - Thank you for sharing those gorgeous photos of part of our beautiful country!! That hairpin curve was scary. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY.
I'm thinking that CO doesn't like guard rails?? Going up to Ouray, Silverton, etc. - you look WAAAYYYYY down the sides of the roads.

Looks like you are really enjoying your trip.
