Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rabbits on Thursday

What?? No morning coffee today?? Can't believe I'm first on here at 9:30.
I forgot to say "rabbits" this morning! Darn it! I need some good luck right now.

Sunny morning but feeling like it is going to be a hot humid one today so will shut my windows and turn on the AC before heading to work today.

Hope you all have a wonderful day today!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

GOOD LATE MORNING TO BARBIE AND ALL!

I can't believe I forgot it's the first of July today! All morning I have been thinking it was the last day of June, even thought I know June has only 30 days-----DANG-----no RABBITS for me either, today! And I guess the fllowing account is proof that I SHOULD have said it!

My surge protector/brownout gadget I plug my trailer into sure did save its cost to me this morning! After I had turned on the furnace in here for a bit of warmth, the power went off in here. So I checked breakers, fuses, etc. Refrigerator had switched over to gas, as it's set to do. I shut off my furnace, tried resetting the switches that are protected by the sinks in here, and PRESTO! Power came on again. After about a couple of minutes, however, off it went again. This time I went into the little shed attached to my house where my trailer is plugged in, and found that my surge protector had shut off my power. The light in there, when I flicked on the switch, had about 1 candle power, and then I suspected a brown out. I ran into the house to unplug all compressor-using stuff---2 refrigerators and one huge freezer. On the way in, I smelled smoke on my screen porch which sent me into a panic----MAYBE MY HOUSE IS ON FIRE SOMEWHERE! I grabbed a flashlight, as there was no power in the house at that time, and checked all over the basement and upstairs----no smoke. Back to the porch I went, and it stunk out there and was some light smoke. I finally tracked it down to the poor little apartment-sized refrigerator motor out there. Then I called power company who said there is a brownout somewhere, and I said, "Well, I hope someone is working on it, as all the people are at work and their compressors are burning up!" He seemed just fine about it, and I was screaming at him by this time.

Anyway, I am so glad I had my surge protector protecting my trailer. Now I am tempted to get one for each of the refrigerator plugs in the house! It's been quite an eventful morning! Things seem to be running hot, straight, and normal right now, although I need to go back to the porch and make sure the tiny little refrigerator motor is still running. If that's the only loss, I will feel lucky.

Just heard on the news that June gave us 23 out of its 30 days as rainy. Not a good record for 2010, for sure.

Sorry to be so late, but have been busy!

I have no clue what the rest of the day will bring, but I hope it will be more restful than the morning has been! I bought a grill for my trailer screen door yesterday, to keep dogs and kids from going through the bottom of it. I will attempt to install that today. I also bought a gas filled door holder-opener to install, so I won't have to lash my open door with a pillow and bungee cord any more----of course, this all depends on whether or not it stops raining so I can work in dry conditions!

Happy Thursday to us all, and when you stop for coffee, let us know what's up with you!

P.S.----my son called last night, and the loan bank's appraisal on their new property came back 20,000 less than what they applied for! So they faxed the results to the sellers and said this is all they offer them as that's all the bank will loan. Within about an hour, son called back and said sellers have agreed, and closing will be a week from tomorrow! They stand to save about 50,000 over the life of the loan! I guess FL real estate is plummeting in value, which is not good for owners, but wonderful for new buyers!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning Ladies... Such a lovely morning... my granddaughter Sekana and I sat on the deck and had coffee... she has coffee in her milk and sugar... cute... she said she wants to stay here for ever... that would be nice but she would want to see her friends after a while... we are going to play wii that should be fun...
when it is time Sekana will want to go to the pool... an adult must be with them there is no life guard...
Wow soos that can cause a lot of problems for sure... hope they get it fixed soon... glad they came down so your son can have the house it sounds so nice...
Well my day will be filled with family... but tomorrow they will go with my daughter to Springfield... I cannot walk as fast as they will and my strength does not last so it is better that they go...
I will do some laundry later and fix dinner... not sure what we will have...
Hope every one that is traveling drives safe and those that are home enjoy the day...

Good morning from Raton, NM! We're stopping for a bit of internet service before heading into the Colorado Wilderness. Posted pictures on my blog from western AR & eastern OK. Beautiful cool crisp weather here today!

I actually remembered for the first time to say RABBITS this morning. This better be my lucky month.

Power was out in large area around my house much of yesterday afternoon so I know what you mean Soos. Don't think anything damaged here thankfully. Fortunate too in that we are having a slight break in the heat and humidity, low 90s instead of high 90s. It was pleasant out early this morning in spite of being about 85 at 9:00 AM.

My to do list has gotten out of hand again. Must pick a place and get with it. Van will be in shop al day Friday for repair on break recall. Friend and her daughter arriving from SC for visit sometime Friday night. Have to get sister and niece to appointments this afternoon. If not too late, will go see Beth and Jean afterwards.

None of this stuff is going to get done if I don't get off computer.

Have a great day.

Afternoon here. Soos, sorry to hear how your day started. I wondered earlier where everyone was. I got up too early and when I didn't find anyone here, I went to my recliner and must have conked out for awhile :) After resting decided with the holiday that a couple of calls I needed to make best be done today, instead of waiting for Tuesday.

Glad to hear you are in cooler weather, LIz, about time huh? :) Looking forward to the Co. pics, as that lower area is gorgeous, depends on your route, but hopefully will be cooler for you, for a few days anyway.

For those of you who fussed at me about doing a load of wash yesterday. I didn't do anything that would hurt me. Only carried a few undies,(not heavy) to washer and I need to walk, so take things there often, so when there is enough, just put in washer. Thank you all for your concern though, so nice to know someone cares, and doesn't want you to be foolish.' I didn't even get them all folded until today.( that was the only thing besides reading I did all day  ) Right now, the way I feel, I won't be foolish, but I will have to keep in mind for two months, no heavy lifting and that might challenge my memory when I am feeling better but I can't mess up, I'm leaving here in Sept.-Good Lord willing.

Can't believe its 1st of July. I am never home on this date. What a boring week end, ahead too. Oh well, better things coming in the future !! I have some great books to read, and maybe a visitor or two. Not sure, but will get dressed and be presentable, in case, which will make me feel better, even if no one comes.

Have a great day, everyone!! Those traveling stay safe.

Anyone heard from Janice about her furbabies? I hoped for some word this morning. One sick is plenty, but both. I hope they are ok>

Guess all that driving yesterday done wore me out as I slept in till almost 9:30!! Haven't done that since I was a teenager!

Soos, I don't feel this recession (housing/jobs/healthcare), is anywhere near over and there's more to come. JMHO

On that note, some sad news in that our wetlands have been sold and already heavy machinery is in there working away, putting in roads. I heard up to 27 small homes are going in! Huh! I thought wetlands were protected etc?!? So now allot of us dog walker/kids have lost a place to just "be". No longer able to walk the creek shoreline and check on the frog eggs turning to tadpoles and chase garter snakes. In this economy it seems strange to be building homes.

Today I will mow my lawn and then collect garbage as tomorrow AM is garbage/recycleables/yard debris pickup.

Carol, glad you are being smart about your recovery.
Travelers, stay safe and report in often!

These are the Granny Panties that Miss Vickie says I wear...
I suppose if I waited a week or so, that would be quite a heavy load...

Wow, Mitch, if my undies were that big, I could forget getting in my wash room. :o Have to make a trip each day and just toss those in the door, one at a time

Where in the world do you get all of your pictures?

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

Kinda quiet here today, tho we had 86 ppl sit for breakfast today so of course I had a big mess of dirty dishes to wash up. For whatever reason breakfast seems to be out pacing dinner? Our poor little waitress was about run off her feet today. :| Kelly has finally gotten to go out for a Quad ride today. Don't know what the boss lady was doing but she, Jeremy (waiter) and Kelly went for a ride. Now I will have to sit and listen to a bump by bump account of the ride!

Awesome news on Beth's blog for the day!!! YEEHAW!

Got our new place almost totally fixed up as we had the past 2 days off. Moved my temp bed at least 3 times and toted a bunch of boxes. Took the trash to the dump trailer finally about 6:30/7:00pm last night. Ended up having quite a bit of 'trash' to get rid of plus now have 4 empty banana boxes too!!! Sorted out some of the stuff and tossed out some of it. Told Kelly we have a whole lot of sorting to do and that we are gonna have to be ruthless. :x Need to pare down big time on our stuff.

   Well Kelly is back from her ride, they were gone about 2hrs. She's now up there with the boss lady washing the Quads off. Wonder how her butt feels??? I just know that all I'm gonna here is how much she wants a Quad now!

Ok, need to go check my email and then get my butt up home. I'm HUNGRY! Hope everyone is doing good and being safe in all that they are doing.

Love to all
