I am SO happy to note that I am not the only camper who has trouble making non-leaky water connections! I, too, bought a quick-release connector, and discovered it was leaking inside under the bathroom sink last year, so I have officially retired that now! I need to see what these Robo doodads are, as, for now, I use two wide opening pairs of pliers to try to tighten and loosen the hose, at both ends. I keep thinking I have lost the gaskets, but, when I check, there they still are, as good as new, in spite of the leaks!
I am thinking that someone who can invent a good hand-use tightener for hoses, with really good washers inside, could become rich and famous! Some hoses have those hand-twist things, but they are too small to get a good grip, usually. I still use a 90 degree angle extender/connector on the trailer to keep any leaks falling onto the ground below the connection rather than into the trailer. Come to think of it, I should try hooking my water back up for a test. Since I got back from the KOA, I've not used my water at all. I need to try out my fresh water tank and pump before I leave for the Alburgh Bluegrass Festival, anyway.
