SOGGY WEDNESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SOGGY WEDNESDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Jun 23, 2010 3:44 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's about 63 degrees outside, very wet after an all-night steady rain, but just sort of misting now. We didn't get any thunderstorms, for which I am so thankful, but the rain never seemed to let up.

Molly and I snuck out of the trailer very quietly, as she was very alert to something outside while lying in my bed, looking out of the window, after the alarm went off. As we crept toward the house, a HUGE whitetailed deer blew at us and leaped high into the air as it bounded off down the hill, its white flag flashing up and down in the dawn gloom! Mornings like this make my heart sing----surrounded by so many birds singing their morning songs, the smells of the damp vegetation, and the occassional surprise animal to begin our day. There is no place I would rather be in June than right here in my own campsite.

I will be at school for morning exams today, in the library to provide a place for those students before and after their exams, and then we can leave after the buses leave at about 11:30. Tomorrow will be the same schedule, and Friday is just about 2 hours for us all. I will get my final check as a full-time employee, and off I will go.

I got frozen in the chatroom last night while chatting with Beth, and couldn't get back on for a bit. Sorry about that, Beth! By the time I did get back, nobody was there. Maybe tonight.

Stop in for some coffee and let us know what's going on with you all. I am going online to YouTube and listen to Bon Jovi's "Hallelujah" one more time. The words to that song are nothing like the chorus would have me believe, which would be a religious piece, but the melody I REALLY love! I will try to copy it to my MP3 player.

Happy Wednesday---oh dang it-----I forgot my bone pill today. I'll have to do that tomorrow as I've already had coffee!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning... Shadow and I went out on the deck last night... I read and he watched for flies to catch... he is scared to death of them but will try to catch them...

it is 80 this morning at 8am and heading into the mid 90's... will be a hot one... glad for the air conditioner...

today I am going to the Out Back for lunch... they open once a year at lunch time for a benefit for the New York Ministries... a group of people from different churches go each year... many from our church also... none of my family is going this year like they usually do...

I will finish the laundry and get a shower in a bit... going to get some coffee with the great amaretto creamer... that makes my day a winner...

Oh soos seeing a deer up close is so neat... last year when I was at my girlfriends in Michigan I saw them every day crossing her yard between where I was parked the MH and the house... one day 3 went through at once I quietly got my camera and shadow saw them and whoosh they were gone...

time to get coffee start my day... may you all have wonderful pleasures today...

Sounds like a good morning Soos. You've referred to the chat room before and I wondered which one, is it a forum chat or just a group who get online together.
Have a good day all.

Yesterday was crazy at work! 25 haircuts! Tips were lousy tho :( Hopefully, today won't be quite as crazy busy. I bought a couple pairs of shoes (Dr Scholls) on line the other day so I should get those soon, so that should help some for my aching feet!

Tomorrow evening is the wake for my cousin, who passed away on Sunday from cancer. Friday is the funeral. I am going to just go to one or the other depending on which time is easier to get off from work. I would rather just go to the wake. Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of my mom's passing. I sure miss her!

We got missed by all those nasty storms going south of here thru Iowa and Wisconsin yesterday. Had a couple cracks of thunder overnight but that was it. It is really muggy out again today. Hate that humidity!

Hope everyone has a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Morning,
Another nice day here....that's 2 in a row!! Woohoo for us! Forecast is partly cloudy with low to mid 70s the rest of the week. Fine by me.
I'm having my 2 GDs for the weekend. Parents are going to Maui again. My DD is a flight attendant and is working that flight so my SIL goes along to keep her company as she has a 24 hr layover after getting there.
Barbie, sorry about losing your cousin coupled with remembering your Mom's passing. Prayers for your healing heart being said. Also hope the new shoes help your aching feet.
Soos, you paint a nice morning picture. Thanks..
Kathleen, that is a neat idea about the Outback luncheon. Very nice of them!
I'm hiring someone to restain my cedar fence that surrounds my backyard. It's been needing it and I'm just not in the mood for pressure washing and staining it again. Did it 4 yrs ago but I didn't use a very expensive stain so it's faded quite a bit. Gonna get it done right this time. Having a bit of a tift with one neighbor as he uses the backside of my fence as the 3rd wall for his backyard fencing. He doesn't want me to stain my fence on his side as it will make the rest of his fence look bad. I tried to explain that it's my fence and I'm not about to spend good money to stain only my side and then let the backside rot out! This is the neighbor that has many problems, both him and the wife. They drink and he is abusive to her something awful. Cops and ambulances have been there many times, a few times I've had to call the cops and even harbored their then teenage daughter when he got physical with her. Got subpeoned (?) to testify in court over that! I have tried being a good neighbor to them and have taken her to get groceries when he has the car (his work takes him away for weeks at a time and also she can't see to drive any more because of head trauma from repeated beatings), I have treated her and the two kids to the movies and I mow their front grass when he's away, too. And now this?? Now more casting pearls before swine! Oh, and yesterday the daughter came home with a $600 huskie puppy!
Sorry for the rant but I needed to vent and do feel better.
Ohmmmmm... LOL

Well it is a cloudy day...not sure if we will get rain. Most likely we will.
The weather forecast for our summer..is not looking good at all. It is going to be cooler and wetter.

I hope it is nice when we go to Montana later in July.

This weekend we are finally heading out on a camping trip...ie not a baseball tournament. WE are going to our favorite place on Whidbey Island. The Navy base has a campground right on the beach. It is also the Great American Campout weekend...so it will be full and lots of activities and demo's. I think it will be fun to see all that. I have never camped at a campground that has participated in the event. We did opt to pull in on Thursday vs Friday..so hopefully we get in ahead of most of the grounds. As the RV sites are not assigned...you pick the one you want. They all fit big rigs so that is not an issue. Not sure what side to go with..
We have normally stayed on the upper side, as that is in the trees and more protected, but you do not get the view of the ocean. The ocean side gives you the view, but you are not protected from the winds..etc.

It is do hard to believe that July is almost here...I can't believe how time is flying by.

The mice in the trailer...still seem to be there. I did finally put decon in the trailer...they are empty now. It is not my preferred method, but we were not catching anything in the live traps and we were still getting mouse droppings. I need to fins more holes to plug them up this weekend. I did some of them...I guess I need to do some more looking around.

Hello from my favorite coffee shop with high speed wi-fi! I am *forced* to purchase a yummy pastry for the privilege of using it, oh, it's a hard life! Out on the sidewalk tables they have coffee mugs of fresh flowers. It's really sweet!

It's still not quite our usual summer hotness, the pools are in the low 80s, too cold for me! The kids are even a bit hesitant to get in the water. I played basket ball with my super nephews a couple days ago, oh my poor shoulder! Funny how those muscles react to a new activity.

My SIL had a second surgery for a returned cancer yesterday. The doctors say it went well. Tomorrow I will go to visit her. It's about 2 1/2 hours away, in Sacramento. There is a new DGS in their family. He looks just like my brother!

Tonight is a farmer's market in a local town. They have a big lawn and bandstand. We take our chairs, listen to music while the super nephews play with all the kids on the lawn. It's a fun evening.

OK, that's all for me, will check in again the next time I come to town!

Redetotry - Soos posts to both us and the singles forum in the mornings. The singles forum has a chatroom and Soos is a regular to it.

Been a busy day for me so far - went to see my audiologist here (this is where I got these hearing aids) - got some new parts and cleaning, etc etc - Then went to the store and ran errands. Got back and ran into problems with an air conditioner - got that taken care of and just finally sat down for lunch. Now, if only eating this late would mean that I'd skip dinner. Do plan to only have a salad for dinner, though (hope I can stick with those intentions).

Hope everyone is having a great day.
