UPDATE: Re: Big Hugs, Prayers, and Good Thoughts, Carol!

Postby Liz » Tue Jun 15, 2010 1:08 pm

Carol is out of surgery, recovery & in a room. I just talked to her, and other than being a little loopy yet, is feeling pretty good so far. The doctor said the "problem" came out nicely and looked to be all self-contained. He saw no other "problems." I would have posted sooner, but I was out on the river when I got the call from her sister...it's where I do my best praying, ya' know.

Glad the surgery went well. Are they doing any further testing? Continued prayers.

Talked to Carol again about 8 p.m. She's not so loopy now....they've decreased the amt. of morphine they were giving her. She thinks probably the semi truck missed her. No food or drink allowed yet, so she'll be getting grumpy soon.

Thanks for the update, Liz. Grumpy or not, glad all is going well so far. Any idea how long she will be in hospital? When you talk to her again be sure to tell her we are all pulling for her to get on the road soon.

So glad to hear things turned out well for her! Hopefully, she will have a quick recovery as well!

(I'd be doing a lot of my best praying too, with all them gators in that river!)

Liz, how long did you think about how to word that?

I'm so glad things have gone so well - and will continue with Carol in my thoughts - she's on heck of a lady and can't wait to see her again on the road.
