Tina - Sorry you are not here but good to see you back by the camp fire. Not tooo much wine until you get at least one set of photos posted. Note, I put some of the dog park photos under pets instead of gtg thread.
Left over berries are still good. After giving away most of the left over gazpacho, I finished off what I kept tonight along with berries and a cookie for desert. Treated myself to a candlelight dinner on the tree house porch all by myself. Not bad; glad I reclaimed that porch this year..
Maybe it will make things a bit easier for you with your step mother going to rehab even if only a short time.

Barbie, it's not ME that you have to keep your critters away from! I got this pic of Mitch when we were in TN, I kept hearing something running around under the RV and jumped out and snapped a quick pic!

So glad to hear you got home safely, Tina, hope your Step mother will behave for a while. She is so lucky to have you, wish the poor woman could realize that, for her sake and yours. Thank you for all the pictures you posted everywhere! :) I guess you arent' that lucky person in Ohio, who won the PowerBall, or you would have told us wouldn't you? :?:

Diana, we'll forgive you for no pics, this time, I guess. You and Karen, enjoy your wine and conversation by the campfire. From some of the things I have read here, think you really need and deserve a relaxing time with no responsibilty , like pictures for us. Then 4oo miles in one day, hey lady, kick your feet up on something and lean back and guzzle that wine. Hope the travels on home, are uneventfull. Stay safe !!!

Ava, are you going to go on your secret trip, while I can't get on here and find out where it is your going ,too? :( I am so curious, now, I am pouting :( Whenever you go, have a great time, and I'll be looking forward to the pics, I know YOU will take for all of us here, unlike , you know who in above paragraph :)

The campfire is a nice place to find out so many things. Really a nice place to set awhile too.

Carold, am saving your Blog, to read ( when I can't do much) to see all of your travels in Canada, have a great time for all the rest of us. Its really very pretty up there.

Well, time to get the biggest part of me moving around here, its getting numb. :)

Take care all,
CArol

It rained more than I thought today. No windows so it was hard to notice. Sitting by the fire works well about now. Made it through work today...it all came back to me. About half way through the morning one of the directors from the front office walked up in front of my computer and just stood there smiling at me. :? Apparently they are short a team leader for a project that starts training tomorrow. I told her I would do it is she could not find another candidate but that I had even considered not working the extra hour a day (makes it a full 40 hour week) that is needed in order to be eligible for the $50 a week bonus. (Spending time hiking and visiting can remind me that I want to do more hiking and good stuff. Anyway as of 4 pm she was waiting for one call back but had not been successful finding a replacement. She said she will come get me in the morning if she needs me. It is hard to turn down the extra $$ and it only runs till the end of June ...so even if it makes running the errands back and forth around here a little harder....it shouldn't be too bad. One can do something for a short while that one wouldn't want to do for a long time.

Herschel likes the part about visiting two days in a row.

Whew! Another long day! I ended up putting in extra hours today because one of the stylists went into labor (she's only 6 1/2 months along) and the assistant manager had to take her to the hospital, so that left us shorthanded and we got busy tonight so I stayed and helped close. My feet hurt so bad at the end of the day that it even hurts to drive home! One more day and then I get a day off!

Sitting by the fire feels great tonight! Its been on the cool side here lately. Have you seen those huge new marshmallows they have out now? They are twice the size of regular marshmallows. I wonder how well they do for roasting and putting in S'Mores? If I go to the AR GTG, I will bring some to try out.

Time for beddy bye...

I saw those huge marshmallows at the store one day, I just thought HOW FUN
GIGANTIC MARSHMALLOWS!! oh wait, that wasn't me, that was the kid in me.
I so understand about the sore feet Barb, it really bites when it hurts to drive!
I always have to be careful what kind of shoes I buy cause if the soles are too
hard, my feet will hurt and then they cramp up real bad. I try to get soft spongy
soles, and those kind are hard to find here.

They are so fussy about what we wear on our feet at this place and I don't have a lot of money yet to buy anything comfy that follows their standards, so I wear my dress shoes. They are fine for the first 6 hours or so, but after that, my feet really start to hurt. I barely have any time all day long to sit down so they don't get much of a break.

Well, I talked it over with the ferrets about sharing "our" cookies tonight with you all, and Buster said "sure!", but Moxy wasn't gonna go along with it until I told him I would give him an extra bedtime treat. He said only the nice hoomans could have a cookie (he's heard all about Mitch, so he was insinuating that she couldn't have one, but I told him that she is the one who found the ferret cookie cutter, so he reluctantly agreed that she could have one too).

So help yourself to fresh, warm, gooey chocolate chip oatmeal cookies! BYOM (bring your own milk!)

Sheila, let me know if you remember what those are!

Well, I survived the weekend! Did 23 haircuts today and made about $80 in tips so a very good day! One more day like that and I will have my tent paid for! But boy my feet are killing me! I even wore different shoes today and it didn't help. Gotta look into getting some better shoes!

I have the next two days off so that will be nice! Got lots of things to do. Sounds like it is going to continue to be rainy and cool, so I can do indoor stuff. Lots of reading to get caught up on, now that I can't read at work anymore!

I'm planning to go down to visit Bikerchic (Linda) the third week of July for a few days. Can try out my new tent then! Can't get into too much trouble since her granddaughter will be staying with her then too.

Hope you all had a good relaxing weekend!

I think I'll sit a spell and prop my feet up. Yesterday I washed the rv and awning in the heat. It was 95 degrees, but 105 heat index, but hey, when I weighed this morning I had lost 3lbs! Unfortunately we just got back from my sister's house where they had a huge crawfish boil today. Along with the crawfish, corn on the cob and new potatoes, there was banana pudding, a chocolate cake/cool whip thing in a bowl and I had baked a chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing and put strawberry halves on top. Yep, I'm sure those 3lbs. will be back tomorrow!
