nope, not yet, :D but I have been keeping an eye on the temps for my secret getaway, and
even though its a little higher up, its still hot, so don't want to take any chances with my
car out in the heat on a dirt road. Would rather be safe than sorry.
Now, talkin about the heat, I'm gonna take a dip in the pool to cool off. There are a few
ladies here that tend to do the dip every evening in the summer at 6, so I'll be ready. It
helps me sleep better too.
Barbara, hope your feet feel better and you get your knee back in shape over the next
couple days. Standing on a sore knee is no fun, been there, done that.

Slept in this morning, then went to pick up my last paycheck from the other salon and then picked up my new scissors and got a new hairdryer too. It was a nice day today, mid 70's, partly cloudy. Played golf this afternoon. Did pretty good too!

Back to work tomorrow! For some reason I am still really nervous about this job! I think because it is so much busier than I am used to, so I get anxious about it. My aches and pains are better today, so that helps. Hopefully, it won't be as busy the next three days and I can get settled in a little before the next weekend hits! I'll get used to it eventually and then it won't be a big deal. It's just that going from one or two haircuts a day to 21 haircuts a day is a little overwhelming to begin with!

I don't go in until 2:30 tomorrow so I have the first half of the day to do something fun and relaxing! Maybe go lay out at the pool if it is nice out and work on my tan a little and/or get caught up on some reading.

Soos, I am worried about that little bear, Hope. Most young bears don't leave their mothers until they are at least a year and a half old. Hope is only about 5 months old and on her own already! She hasn't had a chance to learn much from mom before she was abandoned. She is also very little and suseptible to bigger animals preying on her, with no protection. I sure hope she can make it on her own at such a young and vulnerable age! I hope Lily does a better job of parenting the next time around!

Just made some chocolate chip cookies. I would share with you gals, but the ferrets talked me into sharing with them instead. Sorry! Next time, I promise!

So, I was looking for a picture of a ferret eating a cookie and was going to try and pretend I was Vickie and be mean to you about not sharing your cookies with us. No luck on the picture. But I did find this. Isn't this cute for a ferret person - a ferret cookie cutter!

Okay, so I can't think of anything tonight to be mean to you. So, that's all.

Oh, I thought she was all talk, no action. She actually follows thru on her threats, huh? You're lucky you got away from her place alive and in one piece!

That's because I couldn't wait for her to get out of here. She's so mean. All the time. Never stops. And the way she picks on Ronnie. You think she's mean to me? You should see what she does to that poor man...

PS: Google image search ferret cookie cutter. It'll probably come up. See - I'm NOT mean. I told you how I found the cutter even though you'd rather share your cookies with a rodent...

ON EDIT: Man, I just can't help being nice. I did the work for you...cutter is $1.99 at Ferret Depot. Stainless steel.

We knew you were nice, Mitch.
Wish Barbie hadn't mentioned the cookies. Tina left me with an excess supply of cookies (she was on good behavior, avoiding the sweets) so I have plenty to share.

Hey, Google THIS (picture a certain movement I'm doing...) :o

And if they're mammals that hunt rodents, you'd better not ever invite You-Know-Who to your home...

talkin about googling stuff, I've spent the last couple hours googling addresses, past
and present and relatives, etc on google maps. Its so much fun. I looked up my old
friend in Colorado where I spent the summer on the farm (my last vacation) and
zoomed in and I could even count the horses!!
But now its time for dinner and mother Hubbard's cupboard is bare, so I'm going to
Wendy's. No swim for me tonight, by the time I get back it will be time for bed.

Just sittin'.....this is good. Need another glass of wine, oh, well maybe I need the first one :? Instead I had fresh berries in some vanilla yogurt.....the berries were a direct result of staying with Sarah. Hers were so good and I remembered, "I'm worth it!" So I went out and bought a supply of my own. Thank you, Sarah.

Anyways....I headed off to the hospital first thing this morning with computer in hand to sit and wait for the doc to come around to check Ellen (step-mother) out of the hospital. It was quite apparent that he wanted her to go to rehab and I immediately backed him up...since I know that she would get home and not be able to evaluate her health and even recognize she was getting into trouble again. The doc said he particularly wanted her to be monitored closely for the next week to mke sure the antibiotics were still effective and that she was not having any additional issues crop up. I had already stopped by her apt once but headed back to pick up a few more things. The doctor had her transported by ambulette. I then headed home and picked up Herschel and Remi, since she was headed to "their" health care facility. All Herschel's friends were glad to see the traveling dogs come back home. He and Remi hung out with a few of their friends while I helped put Ellen's stuff away and make arrangements for her newspaper. She has to have her newspaper, you know.

Tomorrow it is back to work for me. My pictures are uploading as I am checking other stuff here. Soon, Herschel will see that they are posted...soon. But for now sitting is good.
