FROSTY TUESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FROSTY TUESDAY

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Above is Hope yesterday, growing and foraging on her own, and visiting the feeding station for bear milk formula supplements. She is teaching us a thing or two about bears!

I am over my snit, and will deal with my life by investigating all my options before I ask any questions from now on. As I said yesterday, there are some things I will definitely need help with as I take to the roads. You are all a very knowledgeable, helpful group of people and I need you all!

What a frigid morning it is here today, with crispy frost on the newly mown grass. I mowed the entire lawn yesterday after school, even though my goal was do just half of it then and the other half today. Once I got the mower in 'run' mode, I never stopped it. It is already lush and green, which always amazes me, as it's nothing more than a mown hayfield which it was when I first moved in here. For the first few years, I needed boots to mow, as the cut-off wirebrush nubbins could go right through most shoe soles! It gradually turned into a real lawn. It's never had any care whatsoever, other than mowing. I see that my rock gardens are in dire need of a good weeding, however!

I received a great check from the teachers' association for my retirement, and a nice certificate from them. It will help me to get on my way to the next chapter of my life. The retirement party was last Friday night, but I didn't go to it. I don't deal well with goodbyes. Plus I didn't want to be the only one there with no family.

Time to get moving here----I turned on the Monitor for a bit this morning to take the damp chill off when I came in from the trailer. Molly and I were nice and warm in my deep memory foam bed out there with my heavy-duty sleeping bag over us!

Coffee is hot, so stop by and let us know what's up where you are. I'm looking forward to some sunshine today.

Happy travels!

Good Morning Ladies
Is everybody but Soos sleeping in today? I do so enjoy the cub photos you've posted with morning coffee.
Tina made it home late last night. A long, hard one day drive but we were glad she elected to stay until yesterday morning..
I'm stuck waiting for air conditioner service guy to show up. My downstairs central unit is not working properly and while it is not too bad today, our temps and humidity are forecast to soar upwards again in a couple of days. I do not function well in excess temps - inside or out.
Nothing exciting on tap for the day - errands, bill paying, and washing type chores.
Hopefully some of you will have more interesting activities to report.

Love the photo of Hope today, Soos! I have it set as my background photo now!

So much for laying out by the pool suntanning! It is cool, raining, windy and humid this morning. Will balance my checking account, pay some bills and then head off to work later. I hope my nerves ease up a bit after a few more days there! Still feel anxious! I guess that is normal for a new job.

I have been thinking about cutting my hair really short for the summer. Haven't decided yet tho. It would be so much easier to take care of, and quicker in the mornings.

Hope you all have a good day today!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Morning (still morning here),
Glad to see Hope is thriving...and that Tina made it home safely.
Yesterday was nice here so I went and got Little Missy out of storage and brought her home and de-winterized her. When I turned on the water pump I pumped all my water out onto the driveway! :o Luckily my neighbor's son use to work at an RV place and I got him to come show me where the drain was still opened when it got winterized. Easy fix. I also had him go over a few other things. One being the awning. We put it out and in several times and then left it out as it was wet and needed drying out. I'm not sure why it wasn't moldy cause it had to have been wet all winter. Also found out I have been driving with the awning in the UNlock position! :o Well, they say God looks out for fools and children!!
I was hoping for a few days of nice weather to go somewhere but that's not going to happen. They are saying rain starting today and lasting till the weekend. We are such a soggy mess!!
Barbie, let us know, in pictures of course, if you decide to cut those golden locks off. I'm sure you'll look cute.
Wishing everyone safe travels,
Lenora

Just a note on the hot water - when you winterize, they recommend leaving that drain open - so it was done correctly. Glad someone was there who knew what to do for you. On another note - make sure you FILL the hot water heater with water before turning it on! That's really important.

How is filling the hot water heater done? I assumed when I filled the water tank and ran the pump, making sure all my lines were no longer filled with air, also filled the tank some how. ;)

Lenora, think you need to run your hot water faucet,(without water heater on) and that will fill the heater and lines and then you're free to use heater. Just filling your water tank doesn't necessarily fill water heater. I should have left this for others probably, I don't explain things well. Sure hope you did this though, before you turned your water heater on.

Sometimes we all do things and don't really think of what we're doing, just have done it for so long, but think this is what I do :? Oh, hope someone else helps you out here
Hope you have a great time in your "Little Missy" this summer.

I should be ok, then, as I ran all the faucets until I got water coming out. I also turned on the LP and lit my burners, so the water heater auto pilot should be at the ready?

I don't know how long it takes for the hot water tank to fill - or if water will run through the hot water knobs if it's not full - so I run it a long time just to be safe. Oh, and do you have a valve to bypass the hot water tank? If so, make sure that isn't on bypass. It should have been put on bypass when you were winterized, but if water is running through those, I would say it's off bypass.

And, yes, if you turned on the lp, then the water heater should light when turned to on.
