Oh My. What a horror. Where is that you are working in New York?

I would also get an ad on Craig'slist, "houseing wanted" as well as check their ads for rentals. I think the others have given you excellent ideas about seeking options from the workcamping place.

I would also go to legal aid, as it sounds like you can't afford a lawyer, and see about putting a lean on the vehicle. See what else the lawyer thinks you might be able to recover. Just dreadful for you. I am so sorry.

My only other thought, if you have a car, is to see about camping out for the summer at the work camp place and see if some of your money comes back to you through the m.h. owners. I am no hopeful. Do you have a way to barrow money, add to your money, to get to the job site. Perhaps not.

A last ditch effort might be to see if a local news channel might want to do a piece on your plight as a human interest feature, not because you are so stuck, but, rather, because it is such a good example of kids being out of control. If they did such a piece then it might draw some support from somewhere in the listening audience.

I so hope something can work out for you. I am very sorry.

Thanks for your responses! This is just an update: The gentleman I was buying from has paid me half back and made arrangements for the other half. He is living on disability so hes on a fixed income. I have no hard feelings against this man, he worked with me for weeks for me to pay him and the vehicle was a fix er upper to begin with. He tried to get a loan to fix it up for me but was not able to. I have been in touch with the employer I was going to and they understood my situation, I did not want them to be short handed so I gave up my position so now Im on to plan B! Still stuck here in Green Bay, WI (my home for the last 22 years) but now I will just sock more away to buy better (maybe bigger :D ). Like my pet turtles; I am home where I walk my shell.

I know this is a dumb question but...if you paid the guy xx number of dollars but hadn't picked the rig up yet, shouldn;t he still have that amt whether he is on disability or not? Anyway, glad you got some relief and hope you find a new situation quickly.

He obviously spent it already. His son should be footing the bill since he is the one who wrecked the RV.
