doggy door in an rv

just thought this was pretty cool, but I wonder how it would
go over in a campground when the rules say you have to have
the dog on a leash, some places are sticklers but I think this
is ingenious. Wonder what kind of dog they have.

That is cool! I have another friend that does something similar. Can't see where there would be an objection as long as the pup is restrained in some way and a fence would do it.

I don't have the doggy door but I do have two of the folding fences that I can hook together. The main issue about the dogs is barking. I put my guys in the pen and go back inside the RV BUT I don't let them bark continuously. About being on leash, I would NEVER let mine off leash in the park - its just plain rude no matter how well behaved they are and rules are rules. There always seems to be someone in the park that think the rules don't apply to them. After a busy weekend I seem to spend as much time picking up other people's dog poop as I do my own dogs'. Wish I could figure out a doggy door for my rig cause my old Sassy needs to go outside at least once a night if not more.

Yeah, I have one too. When Chewy and her sister Lucy made their first trip to the desert I took it and put the girls in and like typical sisters they immediately started fighting. Pretty soon we had a crowd around taking bets on the "cage fight"! It was pretty funny. They were only about 3 months old at the time....Chewy whipped Lucy's butt, but Lucy wouldn't give up, she kept coming back for more. Since I babysat Lucy until she was house trained it came in handy to keep the girls corraled. I just set it up in the kitchen and took them outside every half hour or so and kept a potty pad in the cage. Chewy caught on pretty quick, but Lucy was stubborn in that too.

I have seen the doggy dog used in RV's at dog shows usually one of the smaller toy breeds and someone that has multiple small dogs and usually barky small dogs! But then it is a dog show and you get used to some of it and wonder why you don't hear more barking than you do.

I think that's BRILLIANT!!!

When we're out RVing, my DH and I are constantly having to take Boy Wonder out to do his business. Then of course, there's always a discussion about it:
"Bosco is barking"
"It's your turn to take him out"
"It's too cold out there, and I'm in my jammies already"

Then one of us will grab the leash, trek out in the elements to let him sniff for thirty minutes before he lifts his leg to let out 2 drops on a weed.

That looks kool! My cats would love to have a door that goes outside too. We did make a doorway from the stairs to the basement compartment with a short tunnel so the litterbox was in the basement of our Tropi-Cal. Was great till Biff got so fat he could not squeeze thru the tunnel and we switched motorhomes so now the litterbox is under the steering wheel of the MH when parked or behind my seat when we are moving. Great idea with the doggy door and ramp, wish we had it for the cats!!

Then you must have had earplugs in at the Tn GTG! But she's getting better, when I tell her "Leave it!", she usually calm down. Every once in a while I have to play pack leader and take her down until she relaxes and gives up. Stubborn little Chi!
