SCHOOL-DAY FRIDAYS ARE NUMBERED!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SCHOOL-DAY FRIDAYS ARE NUMBERED!

Postby Nasoosie » Fri Jun 04, 2010 3:56 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's warm at 56 degrees, and the sky is cloudy after another long night of rain. Many will be on the roads today, some to visit with family, some to haul family along to see some of our famous places, and some to just relax and listen to good music! I am happy to hear that Amelia reached her destination with no problems----wherever you are, it took a while to get there!

As for Hope, the little missing bear cub, the researchers are setting up trail cameras around the 4 feeding stations they have set up with bear-milk formula and snacks to see if it is indeed Hope who is draining two of them. If it is Hope, she may have a chance to get strong enough to survive in the wilds on her own. I have my fingers crossed, as usual! Soon wild foods will become more plentiful in the woods, and less and less human-placed foods will be needed----at least, in theory.

It's Friday, jeans day, perhaps the last for me, as next Friday my class will taking off on our 'shopping spree' to the mall, about 50 miles from school. Things are winding down rather fast here now. It is almost the longest daylight day of the year for us again, too. I can now see to walk into the house from the trailer each morning at 4:30 a.m., and the sun is setting sometimes AFTER I fall asleep! Spring is my most favorite season, although I would miss not having any seasons at all. Winter I will celebrate in an area with no snow for the first time in my life, I believe!

Coffee is hot, so stop by and check in with us all. I need to take a bath, water my plants, feed Molly, make more coffee, get dressed, and head on out. Happy Friday to us all!

Happy travels!

good morning ladies
its another hot day in the desert so I've got a few things to get done outside before
it does begin to scorch. My $50 rebate from verizon finally showed up yesterday.
Unfortunately its a gift card instead of a check. I was expecting a check that I could
just put into my checking account but I just read the info they sent with it and according
to the info I can take it to my bank and transfer the money from the card into my
account or even cash it in and have the cash in hand. So I guess I'm ok with that, we'll
see what kind of hoops I have to go through to get that accomplished.
Nothing else is happening in my world today, except the normal routine chores of dusting
and cleaning and going through boxes. When I think I have it all done I find more boxes
stashed in some corner or storage area. It definitely will be all done by the time I retire
and hit the road.
Getting another cup of coffee and fixing a little toast.
Enjoy your day and be safe.

Good Morning All
Just a quick check in this morning.
Crossing my fingers too for the little cub.
So far, other than too hot, weather has been on our side for being outside. If the weather continues to cooperate (little or no rain, we hope) plan to pick Beth up and spend most of today touring the Space & Rocket Center. Yesterday Tina and I did some other sight seeing around town and found some more leveling devices for her rig - back to front she was fine but needed more lift on one side. Yes, there will be photos under the Get Together thread as soon as we have time to load them.
Wishes to all for a safe and fun day.

Good Morning Ladies! It will be hot today... did not get up to water the flowers early enough so they may wither a
bit before evening...

It is still quiet here on the home front... Gwen must be having fun at her sisters...

I did get laundry done and a few things but mostly did nothing... My neighbor sat on the deck and visited until she had to go to bed... she gets up at 3 to go to work... ah ah ah glad that is not me...

My coffee is needing a refill so will make this a short one...

Have a great day everyone...

It rained all night but no thunderstorms :( . It is supposed to be cooler this weekend, in the mid-70's but possible rain. I will be working all weekend so I don't mind.

I am meeting with Laurie from here, for lunch in a little while. A very mini-GTG! But should be fun to finally meet and chat!

My feet have almost recovered from yesterday! Glad I got a day off to recooperate! Then two busy days ahead for me! I have been so lazy for so long now, that it is hard to get back into working my butt off again! But I am looking forward to it! (and the money!).

Have a great day, and stay safe, dry and healthy!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Ava, you can transfer the funds yourself on that card on line at Verizon. The online url to do so is on the letter that came with the card, and it's easy to do.

oh, thanks Beth, I will certainly do it that way, saves me a trip to the bank.
In fact, I discovered I could use it to pay on my verizon bill. Now that was what I wanted
to start with. So, I'm a happy camper. :P

Well it is another wet and rainy day. Honestly...I am growing quite tried of it. Yes I know we live in the PNW, but normally we get a few nice days in between the weeks of the spring rains. At baseball we were saying how we should of had the season in Jan-Mar, as it was nicer then. Maybe Mother Nature mixed up the season.

Today is the final set up day for the Highland Games, I have not been out yet...my area is mostly set up by the field crew. I only have a few things to do and wait until Friday to do them. We do have a storage pod this year...YEAH!! So that means I will not have to load things in the truck at night and haul it to our trailer, which would have been more difficult this year, as the games did not get an small RV donated this year, usually one of the RV places would donate a small one. So we will be using ours for the parking crew, which is overseen by DH and the Boy Scout Crew. It basically the money trailer. With the yucky forecast is does stink that our awning will not release. Not sure what is up with that, have to call the RV place we had it at and ask if they checked it. I think next year I will give them a detailed list of what I want checked. I want everything checked. We can't check the awning at our storage place, as there is not enough room unless the 5th wheel next to us is gone, and it rarely is. They also forgot to place the crank handle on the new window.

It looks like Sat might bring some nicer weather. I sure hope so.

You all have a great weekend.
