Good Morning to us all!

It's another beautiful day out there for camping----warm might be sunny later, maybe a few showers, but nothing earth-shaking. Nothing earth-shaking like the failure of BP to stop up that oil leak. What now? This is so serious and so dangerous and so life-threatening, I am at a loss for words.

So off I will go on my day of escape in this beautiful camping park, with the pig for tonight's supper already on the smoker spit. I had a lot of friends stop by last night, and we sat around my fire and I was able to get caught up on all the latest gossip from the town where I lived for many years. I love this weekend each year! We aso sang a few good camp songs before the entire park seemed to get quiet and lights were going out in al the rigs and campsites.

I hope you all like my new trailer mascot, little Ursa Minor, aka Hope, the little bear cub! I love her!

Time to take a bike ride and get moving----stop by and let us know what's going on in your world! Coffee is hot!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

good morning ladies
the little bear makes me smile Soos, can't believe its sunday already, where did
my weekend go? I've been too busy to notice. Getting all the winter clothes washed
up and packed away in tubs for the shed, cause I certainly won't need them for
awhile. This time I've marked the tubs so I know which ones are which. Daughter
went off camping for the weekend so have to go over and take care of the cat.
Don't know why she NEVER thinks to invite mom :( I must have cooties.
Will be stopping over to a friends house on the way back to take some pics with
my digital of some items he wants to sell on CL. Then of course that means I have
to post the ad for him, cause he doesn't have a computer.
Then I'll finish up some chores, scrub walls, and do the dust.
Enjoy your day and be safe.

Well good morning ladies. Just rolled out of the bed a few minutes ago. Coffee made and yogurt with cherrios for breakfast. A lovely 73 degrees outside this morning. Sun is in it's full beauty and a near full moon hanging over the Chiricahau Mountains. We have a fire in the mountains, human caused they say. Normally that means some illegals crossing the border were cold and started a fire to keep warm. Was looking smoky yesterday. This morning not so smoky so maybe they are containing it. Always a tragedy because the bear, deer, goats, birds, and crawling critters don't have much of a chance getting out. Pronghorns graze on the grass and aren't in danger down in the flat lands. Also have a like kind of fire over in the Baboquirivari (not sure of that spelling) where Brown Canyon is burning. That mountain area is the sacred grounds of one of the indian tribes.

I am at Rusty's RV Ranch just north of Rodeo, NM. (http://www.RustysRvRanch.com) I have the Chiricahuas on the west and the Peloncillo mountains on the east. So down in the valley, it is nice and cool at night and hotter n blue blazes during the day. Today I will make my way up to Paradise, AZ and bird watch and work a little with my friends at the George Walker House Bed and Breakfast (http://www.georgewalkerhouse.com). It will be a cool, fun and rewarding day. Hope all have a great day and a safe day of travel for those on the road.

Starting to feel like my old self again. I think having my 2 grand daughters overnight surely helps. I find I really need the physical contact of family in my life.
Yesterday we had lunch together at Subway. I wanted to take them to a movie but they are not movie goers, so we came home, ate and then made sugar cookies and decorated them. While the 10 yr old watched TV, me and the 8 yr old did makeovers. I washed my hair so she could blow dry it and style it and then she did my make up! What a hoot! Afterward we played Super Mario on the Wii and watched some Animal Planet. Then snacked on popcorn, cheese, crackers, strawberries and apple slices. Right now they are awaiting me to get off the computer to make them pancakes and smoothies. Can you tell I just adore these girls!?? :D

Soos, I'm glad you are getting to finally enjoy being in your Little Bear at a campground and having such a grand time!

Well, I'm being paged! Gotta fire up the griddle! Looks like our rain will continue, probably till July!! :o

Safe travels everyone!

Ava, I took my Mom everywhere with me! She was my traveling companion and we always had a great time! Your daughter doesn't know what she's missing out on by not inviting you along! I have the best memories of my mom from those trips! Have you asked her to take you camping sometime? Maybe she thinks you wouldn't be interested.

Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous out! It was close to 90 but low humidity. I spent a few hours on the porch reading, with my water fountain on and a lilac scented candle burning. It was heaven! (And a cool breeze off the lake!). Went down and sat on the dock for awhile contemplating my life and my future. I can do some good meditating that way. Something about the water that is very relaxing (even with a ton of boats out there yesterday!) and I can think more clearly. Then I went down to the garage and got my bike out, washed it and put a new bottle holder and new cushy seat on it. But the tires are low, so I will have to get it to a gas station to put air in them before I can ride it.

Steve came over later with his harley and we took a ride out to a fun little town west of here that has a biker bar with an outdoor patio with a band. I haven't been on a bike for years but it was fun! I thought I would look like Phyllis Diller by the time we got to the bar with the wind whipping my hair all over, but it actually fell back into place and looked good once I shook it out! It was a perfect evening, light breeze, no bugs, 75 degrees! Steve's girlfriend dumped him a few weeks ago, but we are just going to stay friends. I am not interested in anything more than that with him again. We get along great as long as we are only together for a couple of hours at a time!

Today is cooler and cloudy. Laundry day and sorting thru clothes. Get caught up on some other things and then tomorrow I can play again. My dad and I might go visit some cemetaries in the afternoon for my grandparents and my mom. I only go to my grandparents graves when I am with him because the cemetary is in a really dangerous part of Minneapolis and I won't go there alone.

Hope everyone is having a fun, relaxing weekend!

PS> Mini GTG alert!!! Finally, me and Laurie are getting together next Friday for lunch!! I will take pictures!
PPS> Soos, love your Little Bear mascot! So adorable! Looks just like Hope!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Hello Ladies... long time since I have posted... since I got my new iMac computer I did not have women rv on it now I do...

Having a good time here with my daughter Gwen from Michigan... she has been here since two days before my sister died... she has planted flowers and bushes for me... wow does my yard look beautiful... she will leave for home in a short time... that makes me sad...

My other daughter Jackie and my grand daughter Sekana will come down on June 30th and staying a month... Sekana loves the community pool... it is open from 1 to 8pm great time; just enough to get her little body's energy out... she is a wild child 11 years old... way to old for her age!!

Oh Ava I would ask your daughter if you could go with her one time and see what she says... it sure could not hurt and may wind up to be a great experience...

Enjoy your week everyone...

Good afternoon everybody!

Soos, I love your Ursa Minor/Hope mascot. But what does Molly think about having another mascot for the camper? So glad you're having a great 1st campout.

Ava...you should just invite yourself next time.

Birdie, I bookmarked Rusty"s RV ranch...what a beautiful view from there and so many activities to do. Think I'd like a trail ride.

Lenora, I'm so glad you have your gds there to have fun with. Need to post that extreme makeover picture, I think.

Barbie...looking forward to reports & pictures of your upcoming mini-gtg.

Kathleen....so glad you found us again on your Mac. How nice that you have been able to spend so much time with Gwen....and that she's beautified your yard. I could use that kind of help too. And great you'll soon have more visitors...sounds like a busy summer for you.

I'm enjoying everyone else's activities today, and planning routes for my trip west near the end of the month. Nothing happening here until Tues. when I hope to go kayaking again. Wed. another dr. appt. ...ho hum.
