DUH! She said as she slaps herself upside the head! Nowwww I get it! Very funny, Carol!

Yes Vickie, there is a Primm, Nev and the reason Becky made mention of it is 'cause I'm gonna be there next month for a slots tournament and Mz. Becky and I are gonna have ourselves one of them there mini GTG's. YeeHaw! Real mini, just her and me (hubby doesn't count) 'cause my gambling buddy Evie can't come because of a prior commitment.

How's the park looking for our mid-country GTG? Looks like lots of Pull throughs there, my personal favorite!

When you know where for sure - with dates - I suggest editing the first post with that info- so anyone who comes looking can find that right away. This new place looks nice. Hope it can work out to be the one. If not, you'll just have to keep checking them all out, Vickie!

Alrighty Ladies, we stayed there Sat. night, got pics today and am getting ready to load them on PB now, hope it goes pretty fast. Tonight we are just south of Texarkana TX at the Atlanta State Park. Let me go load pics now.

Edit: Can't get the pics to load as I only have two bars on my AT&T aircard. Sorry but I'll have to load them when I get home tomorrow.

DOO-fus (Vickie) is moving mid-week, from Site 8 (handicap) to Site 19 so she can be close to me and make my life miserable.

DU-fus (Mitch) is staying put for 5 nights.

And to make it clear the official dates are???? Do they use Reserve America or direct reservations. I know I can ask them  but do you already know what their cancellation policy is.... not that any of us would want (or need) to back out :o but a lot can happen between now and Sept! Thanks Mitchie!

Okay, since Vickie is traveling, I'll take a stab at this. "OFFICIAL" time is Monday, September 13, 2010 for four (4) nights.

Here is a link to Petit Jean's reservation page, which includes a phone number to request a specific site (see map above)...

https://www.accessarkansasparks.com/servlet/WebresResDesk?6041

Here's a link to a detailed campground map (pdf file):

http://www.petitjeanstatepark.com/accommodations/pjcampmap.pdf

And here is the only reference I could find regarding a cancellation policy. I'll call them later on today and find out for sure.

A three or four night minimum will be required when a holiday causes a three-day weekend, such as Memorial Day, July 4th or Labor Day. No refund will be made for early departure on a two or three day reservation or a three or four day holiday weekend reservation.

Payment of a non-refundable reservation fee of one night's full basic camping fee will be required by credit card or debit card at the time campsite reservations is made by phone. A personal check will be accepted only when the reservation is made in person. Guaranteed reservations will be held until 10:00 a.m. on the day following the scheduled arrival date.

Next question......Ms Vickie did say it was the front loop nearest the lake...the pads with table and fire ring look good. Will wait for pictures of sites and recommendations regarding sites........ Should we be thinking kayaking on the lake? :)

I just called the Petit Jean State Park and made our reservations, coming in on Sunday, 9/12, for 5 nights (1 day earlier than I thought). I guess the place is full (at least the A Loop) the weekend before and after! The A Loop has FULL hook-ups. Cool.

They sell firewood - 5 sticks for $3.00. Cancellation fee is one night (~$30).

Since I changed our arrival, here's an updated map. I don't know if Doofus will move to her new site on 9/12 so she can start my torture earlier...

I vote YES for kayaking...maybe there is a kayak rental place around. Or a canoe...I would LOVE to be able to take Vickie out on the lake for a nice paddle...heeheehee winky winky.

OK, Mitchie Poo, you can put me on the map for site 22, coming in the 10th and leaving on the 17th. Guess I get to spend some extra time with your nemisis plotting and planning!
