Big hugs to you, Ava, and licks from Molly. As others have said, practice never helps it get any easier to lose our beloved 4-footers. The only thing different from losing those who walk on four feet rather than those who walk on two feet is the natural length of their shorter lives....a fact we are all so very aware of as we fall in love with them. If we are lucky, we will all lose a number of our furry kids as we live our lives. What a lucky dog was your beloved Bandit to have had you as his mom to love him. I will be thinking of you in the days to come as your mind tries to grasp his loss and adapt to your grief. I am crying here now with you. Your pictures and tribute to him are wonderful, and he knew how much you cared for him.

Cry and grieve and laugh as well, as you remember more and more of the happy times with Bandit. And hug your other babies, as they, too, will miss their friend.

Love from me and Molly

Happy travels!

((((((((AVA))))))))) so sorry to hear of your loss. You and the girls will be able to comfort one another during this time. Thank you for posting pics of Bandit, he was an adorable little boy. His playfulness comes out in the pictures. Linda

I'm doing better, but still have my moments. Tomorrow will be better yet cause I'll be
at work and have something to keep my mind busy. Plan to take the girls for a walk
this evening when it cools off. It will be good for us. Thanks for asking, all the kind
words really do help.

well today was easier because I had stuff to keep my mind busy but I am
definitely still grieving as when I was asked about it I would fall apart. The
dept secretary took that poem "Just a dog" and the first picture of Bandit
(above) and made a memorial page for me to frame. She used some special
color copier we have and put it on glossy paper, like a kodak picture. It turned
out lovely, next payday I'll buy a special frame for it and then it can stand on
the shelf next to his ashes when I get them. One of my friends at work lost
her dog on Thursday so we cried together today off and on. Little healing each
day.

Oh Ava, I'm so sorry ... what a beautiful boy he was. With my two older dogs I'm looking this right in the face as well. It's never easy, but he was so lucky to have owned you. ;)

And yes, he can feel the grass on his feet and the wind in his fur.
