No matter how long or short they journey with us they are never here long enough. They leave their foot prints on our hearts and steal a bit of us away with them. We think we "hear" them in the other room and our hearts sink when we realize all over again that "their" spot is now really empty. ...But it also helps to know that we are the only ones confused and hurting, they at least are at peace. Ava, I am so sorry to hear about losing Bandit. It never gets easier does it? They are each unique and special and leave their little footprints on our hearts forever. A friend of mine just lost one of her ferrets today and it made me remember that I lost my ferret, Yogi, just a year ago this week. I still miss his sweet little face!
You will always have the great memories to hold in your heart! Hang in there...

Thank you all for your kind words, I am just so totally devastated
by this. I know he can breathe now and the grass will feel good to
his feet. The girls will help me get through this and each day will
get better.
